- On this weeks episode we continue our journey north towards Darwin, we stop in Katherine and set up camp at arguably THE BEST farm stay in the Territory. Our hosts Michael and Bec share their beautiful farm with us located just 10 mins outside of Katherine. The farm is located on the banks of the Katherine River and is a haven for wide diversity of animals including crocodiles, emus and camel to name a few. We join Michael at feeding time as the talks about the animals, how they arrived at the farm and how to “mouth feed” an emu. This is an amazing experience for both big kids and little kids and one you definitely need on your travel list for the NT.
We use the Katherine Farm Stay as our base to explore the area and on this episode we visit the beautiful Katherine Hot Springs and the amazing Edith Falls.

During the vid, think use said it was mid June...There was a lot of campers staying at the Katherine Farm Stay
🤔think you would have to book early.🤠🤠 Lov the vids.
I would start thinking about maybe a month before if you want a powered site for sure. We booked an unpowered site about a week before we arrived but even that filled. A lot of people told us that they extend their stay while they were there, we were about one week ahead of the NT school holidays. Hope that helps thanks for watching 😀

Hi I saw your video on water savings and you mentioned the washing machine. What machine do you have and how do you wash with reduced water. I have a Dometic front loader that uses 50 litres each load. Thanks for the channel I look forward to each new episode.
Hi mate, thanks for watching. We have an NCE top loader in our van that uses about 50lts in normal/ full cycle washes but when we are off grid we wash our clothes with wool wash. Wool wash doesn’t require a rinse cycle so we wash and then skip to spin this reduces the water usage to about 15 - 20lts per load depending on what water level you require. Hope this helps
