This was a similar story that happened to my cousin. He was riding his bike with this friends on the road and he stopped to check 1 of the sides and right as he was going to check the other, a truck popped out of no where and swung the tire of his bike and slid him underneath the car crushing his teeth since he fell down to the floor on his face. He immediately fainted and was rushed to the hospital. My grandpa was there and he screamed at the driver furiously as my uncle carried my cousin in his arms. Luckily, he survived and also got some braces and his teeth where fixed. He broke his arm but it did heal after a month. Thank god he was alright.
Ive had this happen to me before, just going across a carpool line in school. (My middle school has morning/afternoon tutorials, went for afternoon ones) I looked both ways, no cars coming, all clear. I stepped just one foot out then immediately stepped back. The MPH limit was around 5-10 and this car was probably going around 20-30, they had no reason to and they could’ve gone slow. I was honestly terrified after that 💀
I was crossing a busy street in a crosswalk that had a light several feet ahead. Both lanes heading to the light were stopped and that was the section I still had to cross. I just had a feeling and went cautiously, and good thing I did, cuz a younger lady in an SUV jumped out of line in the further right lane and sped down the shoulder just so she could get to the light that much faster. Had I not hesitated, she probably would have hit me. I know she saw me cuz she made a wide berth to get around, just so she could stop at the light. I thought, "You dummy!" Sometimes you wish you could reach right over and slap some people upside the head. I wouldn't say "slap some sense into them" cuz it wouldn't work. You'd just get tired and wear your hand out! Good grief!!!
Was she though? I think if she wasn't distracted with filming she would have been alert much sooner. Shame on the driver. But shame on mom too. Her priority should be getting the child across safely, not filming a cute video.

They didn't bother to pay attention at all and if I didn't see them and ran fast, I would have been run over. I hope that a cop seen them speeding that day and stopped them while laying the full extent of the law on their asses. I could have seriously died or hurt that day.

i used to stand in the on-coming lane whenever the bus stopped so that cars could see a "larger" person. did it for years, and got a lot of cars to stop (it was a major highway). and then i would get in my car and drive to work. many years later, the mom of several of the children at the stop told me how much she appreciated what i had done. i just thought it was a little thing that i could do, but her comment touched me. thank you to those people who try to keep little people safe.
This is why I always stood in the road when my kids were getting on and off the bus where I worked. Had someone try to pass the bus one time and I was not having it.
People that do this should have there licenses taken away and never ever ever given the chance to get there license back. Also need to be charged with reckless endangerment to people and children.
My dog got ran over in front of me like that. It's absolutely horrific what a body looks like after going under two axles and scraped/dragged against asphalt. I can still see, and hear that moment in my mind.
It will be 8 years this next April. Took me a few years to even talk to anyone about it without falling apart. The door to my truck was cracked before I walked across a street. It was all my fault, she was just trying to get back to me.
This needs to stop. About 1 year ago I was driving on a 4-lane road with 2 lanes going in each direction. A school bus on the other side brings out the flashing red (8-way) stop lights. As a law-abiding citizen, I was THE ONLY person to stop as I was in the left lane going the other direction. People behind me got pissed and started honking for me to move, but I didn't because I knew it was wrong and the guy behind me kept yelling "GOOO" and kept flipping me off. People on the other side going in the other direction didn't stop either (Except the people actually behind the bus that were following it). Even after I kept flashing my brights at them and horning a few times for them to stop as a child began to cross, they didn't even SLOW DOWN till they saw the child. I hope the guy behind me and everyone else I saw get their license taken away someday. They don't deserve to drive. Driving is a PRIVILEGE, not a right, and if you accidentally kill a child for being stupid and not stopping then you lose that privilege.
As a mother this upset me. I’m so glad in my area kids are not allowed to cross the street when getting off the school bus. You either stand on the same side of the street where your child is getting off or you wait for the bus to come back around to the side your standing on.
I had an uncle who was a school bus driver and a car didn’t stop and a poor little boy that just got of the bus was hit and killed. My uncle was never the same after he witnessed that.

This same exact thing happened to me a few years back, except it was a MUCH closer call that very much could’ve ended with me in the hospital at best, 6 foot under at worse. I had gotten off the school bus AFTER it had reversed and stopped on a road that splits off of mine as per usual at the time. Little bit of context as to why the bus had reversed onto the road that splits off of the one I live on is that with both roads being dead ends, that point of divergence is the only spot where a normal sized school bus can turn around. Anywho, as per North Carolina state law, I always walk on the left side of the road, which from the direction I was walking is also the side of the road my house is on. Anyways, by that time, I had walked down the road a little bit down the hill we were on to the last curve before my road turns into gravel. Lo and behold, some blond woman with sunglasses in either a Honda or Hyundai; I can NEVER tell the difference between those two companies’ vehicles via their logos; SUV of the same basic design of, say, a Ford Escape, had decided to do what the driver of the car in this video did, and ignored the bus’ stop sign and little extending arm that was poking out into the right lane. I was crossing the road at this point, and I’m being right-hand-on-Bible-and-left-hand-in-the-air-with-GOD-as-my-witness serious when I say that woman’s vehicle and I didn’t have a yard, 3ft, between us. I honestly think if I had reached out, I could’ve had my hand taken off, or something, by it. What strikes me the most is the woman didn’t seem to have even the SLIGHTEST hint of panic or “OH BOLLOCKS I’M ABOUT TO HIT A TEENAGER WITH MY VEHICLE” written on her face. She was completely blank faced, with her eyes forward. Granted, she had ignored the bus’ little arm thing and stop sign being out and lights flashing, so I really shouldn’t be all to surprised that she didn’t seem to care that she came within a yard of either seriously injuring or killing a high schooler. One thing’s for sure, her vehicle and face were BURNT into my memory, and I seriously doubt I’ll ever easily forget them, if at all. After that whole incident, which the bus driver had fully witnessed because I wasn’t really that far away from the bus, never let me off the bus after it reversed, and always let me off directly BEFORE he reversed the bus, and he always made sure to check behind the bus to make sure it was safe for me to cross over to the left side immediately after getting off.
Thanks for sharing your story with us dude. I felt uncomfortable just reading this story, and you most likely must feel horrified crossing anywhere. So happy you made it out safe with out injury.

I have experienced almost getting hit my a truck when I was getting off the bus. It really is traumatizing. And the thing is the truck drove on grass which was where the bus door was at just to get passed the bus. Luckily I stopped on time.
Though, above all, drivers should stop to allow children to safely cross the street. Yes, children should be taught to look both ways too, but one is clearly a law that is punished if not obeyed.
This reminded of when I used to take the bus in middle school. I remember there were a few times where the bus driver would stop and open the door, my schoolmates and I would start heading toward the bus door, then suddenly the bus driver would close it. I’d get confused and then suddenly she would honk for a while. Then I would realize she was honking at a car driving by. I also remember she would ask if any of us caught the license plate, which unfortunately we never did. But thinking about it now, she was a good bus driver. I wish I could thank her, but that was many years ago now and I don’t know her name.
As a father I'm wondering why the camera 📷 wasn't dropped as she ran to save her child. Oh, yeah she didn't run or stop filming. Imagine if her daughter was hit and killed and she stood there and just filmed it.

As someone who gets off on the highway bc I live on one, yeah- most cars don’t stop. If I got off on the opposite side of the road, I’d probably be dead by now
my dad got hit by a car when he was younger he did survive but hid body was literally crushed in the road. he had to be airlifted to a hospital, he had a rock half the size of an eye ball stuck in his eye for 1 month before it fell out, he bad a broken arm, leg, his shoulder dislocated, and he knee popped out, he still had troubles today with walking, his back hurts constantly, he gets nauseous easily, and his bones hurt all of the time.
edit: for anybody who wants to see my dad as of now i just made a short with him its my recent! hes doing much better since it was 30 years ago!
I am sorry for you man, I hope everything is going alright
Omg so sorry to 👂 that
Oh my gosh I couldn’t even imagine 😧
It’s a miracle he survived ❤️🩹
God really wanted him to survive.
I’m so sorry I hope ur dad gets well and that everything is okay💕
My friend ran across the road without looking and ended up getting hit by a large lorry. She was only 12 at the time and really petite but survived. She was in hospital for a few weeks and then came to school a very different person. Stay safe everybody

IT OBVIOUSLY SAYS “STOP” ON THE SCHOOL BUS AND PPL SHOULD KNOW TO STOP FOR CHILDREN! WTF BRO
I am a security guard, and next to my guard post a school bus regularly drops off a kid each day. Also near that area is a police station. The amount of times i have seen someone speed passed the stop sign and then have a police officer follow after them is unreal.
That must feel so satisfying though to see them immediately get caught
At least thats the best place for a police station
It's an honest-day's-work for an honest-days-pay.
The most protected bus stop in the USA, on God. Bullies and monkeys on wheels be damned! Man, wish I had that too when I was in HS just a few years back haha
With so many school shootings and speeders like this, there should be a police station RIGHT by each and every school
I don't even have kids and my heart legit stopped for this mama.
The saddest part about this is it was her first day of kindergarten..

God bless this lady for being aware of her surroundings and saving a life.
Was she though? I think if she wasn't distracted with filming she would have been alert much sooner. Shame on the driver. But shame on mom too. Her priority should be getting the child across safely, not filming a cute video.
She ain't save shit. That child would've stopped
Honestly, she was recording memories for her babies and protecting her other two babies while also saving the other little munchkin 😭❤️ motherly duties what an angel though you could hear the fear in her voice
The lady was dumb enough to wait of the other side of the road, focus on filming and call out to her to come over and cross the road unassisted.
@@strideredz You have to be joking right. I understand part of what you mean with the unassisted part but recording the thing is totally normal and understandable. It’s a memory she wants to have. It’s almost 95% of the drivers fault for not looking ahead on a clearly empty road except for a giant yellow bus with a flashing stop sign.
Someone take this mf’s license 💀
i cant believe people STILL think its okay to drive past a stopped school bus as kids are getting off, and blame it on the kids when they get hit.
This reminds me of when me and my grandpa were crossing the sidewalk, I saw a car coming and my grandpa didn’t notice so I used my arm to hold him back right when the car passed and almost hit us. I looked at the driver and they weren’t even paying attention to their surroundings. My grandpa yelled at the driver but they were too far away. I was just glad that we didn’t get hit.
Omg Thank god you guys are fine!😭
Angel lia🫶🏽💓💓
Same thing happened to my mom and I. The car grazed my mom’s leg while she held me back. I was fortunate that she had fast reflexes. It would also helped that we were walking in front of a hospital in case we did get hit 😂
Bruh same happened to me I legit was on the verge of getting hit by a car on the road around 2 am my car broke down and me and my friend had to walk to a nearby 711 and while we were walking some car was legit going 60-80 mph and was so close to me that even my friend had to kind of slightly yank me to da side and said “Bruh that car almost hit you Wtf” to this day im still great full of that friend also there’s been like 3 times when I saved him because he tried to do stuff to himself
I was almost run over this past week. A bunch of kids who is eating Carl's Jr while driving, was speeding and turn left on a red light while I was walking down.

People that do this should have there licenses taken away and never ever ever given the chance to get there license back. Also need to be charged with reckless endangerment to people and children.

0:15 when you're about to get the win but the enemy is driving a car directly at you
As a mother this upset me. I’m so glad in my area kids are not allowed to cross the street when getting off the school bus. You either stand on the same side of the street where your child is getting off or you wait for the bus to come back around to the side your standing on.
Finally. Someone who has a point.
I see a Stop sign, I stop.
That driver shouldn't have a license. Let alone a car.
I had an uncle who was a school bus driver and a car didn’t stop and a poor little boy that just got of the bus was hit and killed. My uncle was never the same after he witnessed that.
Im so happy no child was hurt and i hope that person got in trouble
Honestly so heartbreaking hope she is okay with 🥺🙏🏼💕
Some woman actually did that to me and my brother as we started to cross the street
Today i was walking home from school and this lady almost ran me over just an inch away from murdering a child
The fact the car also had the audacity to HONK I would be fuming

I have a guy in my neighborhood who was hi by car getting off the bus he survived but now has a disorder and must be watched at all times
Dude man that’s one hell of a crazy, insane story. I’m glad u were ok

There are 20 questions on the written exam for your license in Oklahoma and half of those questions are about stopping at school bus signs...wtf...
I have experienced almost getting hit my a truck when I was getting off the bus. It really is traumatizing. And the thing is the truck drove on grass which was where the bus door was at just to get passed the bus. Luckily I stopped on time.
Always teach your kids to look both ways and don't assume people will stop.
True
Clearly the child stopped and it was the person in the cars fault and you’re not supposed to drive past when the stop sign is out
very very true, thankfully the mother clearly taught this to her daughter and it showed. Big ups!
Mother shouldnt have let a child so young crossing the street by themselves anyways

Bruh you’re supposed to stop when a bus stops. This person nearly killed a kid because they forgot the rules of the road.
This was so heart stopping that poor mom what she must have felt at that second. Thank God her baby girl didn’t run to her like I see lots of kids do and it’s not their fault. Adults should be well aware of their surroundings. No excuse. Yes parents teach kids to look, but sometimes it’s so fast. Pay attention!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am a bus driver and I think there should be cameras that can snap a picture of your license plate when you do this and you end up getting a big ticket in your mailbox! After the 1st violation you get your license suspended. This is horrible and it happens all the time. People don't care and they starting not to respect those flashing red lights!😡😡

Buses need speed cameras just like the ones on traffic stop lights to serve justice, justice sure does taste good.
There is nothing more precious than the life of a child. My prayer is that people will slow down , especially in school zones and parking lots 🙏
People just don’t care anymore. It doesn’t matter what the generation is or the race people overall just don’t care and want what’s best for them. It’s selfish and I wish I didn’t need to live with pricks like that.

Damn!! That could’ve been so much worse. As a parent of small children, you should always walk across and get them. Drivers are so unpredictable!
The bus’s boarding door should always be aligned with the house’s front door to avoid the child needing to cross the street.
True.
bus stops where multiple kids have to get off on different sides of the street:
Next time, parent should go on that side and cross with her child.
Or the parent can wait on the other side
But in the bus i go to, the child could be living at any side of the street. More actually. If a vehicle has to stay on one side of the road, facing a certain way, they'd have to.
People just don’t know how to drive like revoke their license if they don’t know how to drive
And that is how you get a multiple year sentence in prison
