  • When I applied to medical school, I managed to get into one of my dream medical schools ASMPH. It wasn't an easy feat and required years of hard work from studying psychology in UP Diliman, preparing for the NMAT, preparing my applications, and preparing for medical school interviews.
    Learning from these experiences, I've come up with some tips to help you prepare for your medical school applications whether you're a first-year college student or in the middle of your medical school applications. Hope this video helps you guys out.

    Hello!! I am taking Bs Psych in UPD as well! Does ASMPH require more units than the one included in UP’s curriculum? Also, if you don’t mind may I ask for your stats?

      As far as I know, they've changed the requirements since the time I applied so best to check the ASMPH website to be sure. Stats (I think i mentioned these in a video): Cum laude, 99 nmat, 3 orgs with leadership positions

    From U. P. Diliman undergrad to Ateneo Skul of Medicine. Why not U. P. premed to UERM Medicine? Just asking. Just wanna know haha.

      UERM didn’t have what I was looking for in a medical school compared to the three I applied to had in terms of prestige, board performance, and quality of education. UERM is a good school but couldn’t out-rank ASMPH in my preferences.

    Hi Luis, I have UPCM, SLCM, and ASMPH on top of my list. wondering y u didn’t consider SLCM. if you could tell me I’d appreciate it so I could narrow down my options. lol TIA

      @ChinoyMD  Před 3 lety +1

      Hi! I didn't consider SLCM because it didn't fulfill the criteria I mentioned in my videos compared to the 3 I did apply to. There's nothing wrong with SLCM, but I just felt it wasn't a better fit for me compared to the schools I did apply to.

    Hi doc luis! Just want to ask po what are the chances of getting in upcm if i’m a non up grad and not from the big 4? thank you po!

    • @ChinoyMD
      @ChinoyMD  Před 2 lety +1

      It will be very hard as a normal applicant since you'll be competing against the very best students from all over the country especially those from the Big 4. I suggest you maximize your chances by getting as high grades as possible, high NMAT PR, and applying for the regionalization program if you have a home province.
