You Need to Travel Here | Flåm, Norway | Flam, Stegastein Lookout, Fjord Cruise, Viking Valley

- Join us on our trip to the beautiful and peaceful Aurelandsfjord. This is where we find our destination of Flåm. Flåm is a tiny little village of only 300 people, but tourism makes this tiny town thrive! Here you will find some great restaurants, beautiful shops, and more outdoor activities than you can count! Not only is Flåm itself beautiful, but the voyage to get there is also filled with mountain streams, fantastic fjords, lush green valleys, and so much more, no matter how you get there.
In this video, which is part 1 of 2, we arrive in Flåm after traveling about 5 hours by train from Oslo. First, we get the lay of the land and walk around the wonderful little village. We get some dinner at the Flam Marina and Restaurant, and then walk up the path to get some great views of the Fjord.
The next day, we take a trip up to the Stegastein Lookout. This amazing concrete structure hangs about 650 meters over the Fjord and sticks out 30 meters from the side of the mountain. The views are amazing no matter which way you look!
Then we took a cruise around the fjord on the Future of the Fjords, an ultra-modern ferry that aims at being a sustainable way to take tourists from place to place. This ferry is designed to ensure that integrity of the fjord walls stay intact. The trip was beautiful and gave us a great view of the little village of Undredal, which served as partial inspiration for the village of Arendell in Disney's Frozen!

We were there in June. It was absolutely amazing, and the weather was perfect! in the fjords you might get little rain showers here and there in the summer, but it clears up very quickly!
