Hi thanks for your comment. The function that you are referring to is actually a "Child Lock" function. This will lock out the functionality completely. In other words you are unable to do anything with the controller. What we are demonstrating here is like in the example of an office where you want to allow people to turn it On and Off ONLY but NOT any other function (ie change mode, temperature etc). Hope the explanation clarifies it. Cheers.
Silly question but I have one of these thermostats in my unit that has an on/off button which I don’t understand… like when the mode is set to heat and its off does that mean the heat is off? My old thermostat did not have an on/ off button just modes
C1 3 shown 3---, we cannot select it.

Yes the heat is off if the light is off.
The lock is on the settings deeper
Holding the three dots and right on my controller does not unlock the device
