    I'm over the moon that you enjoyed my guitar John. And thanks so much for your review. I've not seen very much out there regarding sibling models, and your channel seemed the perfect vehicle to let others have a look and listen to what, for me, has been my dream guitar.
    Maybe next time I'm in your area, I'll drop something else off for you to cast your eye over.
    Again. Many thanks.

    It's the 60th anniversary of the Fender company. Broadcasters came out in 1950, Nocasters and Telecasters introduced in 1951.

    The '51 Nocaster pickups came in my roasted Tele too,,, that bridge pickup is the best !

    Classic all the way through, but with an absolutely great difference. Loved the tone you got for the jazzy bits. Reminded me of old time recordings.

    Nice I love Teles. Had a 1996 one quite recently which had a 50th anniversary sticker on it.
    Best bridge pickup i ever had is one I took out of a 2007 mim Tele Standard
    Close second is an Oil City Thames Delta
    I have probably owned too many Telecasters
    I don't think I've had one for every year I've been alive tho so maybe not

    I love the TONE RIDERS. I’m not a fan of the baseball neck . I do like the radius. Cheers Amigo

    Awesome guitar!! I have the 2006 60th Anniversary American Stratocaster, I play it everyday, it is one of my two main guitars.

    Really nice guitar. Sounds lovely. But (maybe being churlish) I'm not a fan of the red '60 diamond badge "on the body. Especially as it's stamped and authenticated elsewhere on the neck plate. I loved the chord riff. Classic sounding but new too. Sounds great.

    I actually had one of these 60th anniversary Tele's. It as was a perfectly serviceable axe, but I found myself always picking up another guitar in my collection. I didn't find it to be anything special, and sold it for a Fender Jaguar and some cash.

    Nice one ! Was the Telecaster with the Seymour Duncan pickups a Korean Lite Ash one ? I’ve got the Strat version and the pickups are superb but it refuses to stay in tune !! Cheers 🎸

    Thanks Shaun! I'm a little confused, are the 51 Nocasters replacement pickups, since this came with (advertised) Vintage Reissue, or (various sources) American Standard? Also the neck was originally 9.5" radius not 7.5" is it replaced too? There's no doubt your high cut jazz tones are pretty sweet. But wouldn't rolling the tone down achieve the same effect as the high cut switch? Or does the tone roll down change the volume in ways the switch doesn't?

    • @scally1969
      @scally1969 Před měsícem +1

      I can't really answer your questions regarding any advertising on specs. But the guitar is exactly as it was the day it came out of the box. I've done no mods to it and can't really see the need to get any done, to be honest.
      As John mentioned. It came with a capacitor to amend the wiring to a more conventional setup and even a replacement modern bridge, too. But I love the vintage charm. Even the quirky dark circuit. Which does differ from rolling off as you suggested, admittedly not by much. Cheers for question

    ALNICO 3s

    • @petergoddard1960
      @petergoddard1960 Před měsícem +1

      Refers to the magnets in the pickup aoround which thousands of winds of a very fine copper wire generate a magnetic field which detects (picks up) the vibrations of the guitat strings. Various types of magnet are typically employed. AlNiCo is an acronym for a metal blend of aluminum, nickel, cobalt, and iron. The number following AlNiCo represents the proportions of each metal in that blend.
