The mountain scenes are not from nepal or tibet .. this is India.
Chill bro, they just want views. It has nothing to do with being interested in knowing the culture and Indian geography.
8:12 exactly the name of the place is written on the bus .... the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh bordering Tibet❤❤.. though we know the shooting was in India alone
That's why Indian military came up
Mere bhai ki jali! 😂
Took 70 years to understand that
Randeep Hooda is so handsome. That's it, that's the comment.
Agree
Laal rang ❤
Preach sista🥵
Leave married men alone 😅😅😅
girl i agree 100%
Guysss it's india 🇮🇳 not Tibet or Nepal
It's north india, himachal pradesh.
Randeep Hooda is the most underacted actor …. This movie … his acting , crying for his mother … I watched this movie 20 times but still his voice crying … always makes me cry like a hell❤
sarabjeet
I also feel the same about this movie and the acting of randeep hudda ❤
bollywood ka jem he
And imagine this was Alia's second movie. After her debut which was an all out Bollywood commercial movie. The fact that she chose to do this movie after her debut speaks volumes about the choices she made with her career ... And she nailed all those important movies after that....udta Punjab, Raazi, Gangubai, Kapoor and Sons.....
darlings too!
Oh my god yes. Finally someone appreciating her for her acting and talent
she only seems ok because this current generation of actors are so horrible. shes the best of the worst.
Lol she actually snatches away the opportunities of other nepo as well as non nepo actors she could get any role bas apne Kjo uncle ko bolo she has connections she even told she use to call Kjo and he use to talk to producers or directors and convince them to give her the role
@@jennyvarshavski3138 good for her. They are all bad actors anyway, so why does it matter who gets cast. They will all ruin the role equally regardless. Might as well use the privilege if you have it.

India is world in itself, just think if congress didn't divided those parts.
@@Chanakya831hagg diya andbhakt ne
@rohanparashar What about you ?? He didn't take any other name but you are surely andhbhakt of CONGRESS 👏👏👏
Kyon lad rahe ho bhaiyon apas mein.
Rational thinking rakho Bina kisi ki side liye hume kisi ka puppet nahi Banna hume humara deemag bhi lagana hai, so stop this bjp congress.
Hume practically dekhna hai jis cheez ko hum badal nahi sakte past mein jakar uspar bahas karna time waste hai.
So think practically without getting influence by these political parties.
Exactly and that's why it is termed as Indian 'Subcontinent'! (everything a continent has)
The scene where Mahaveer breaks down and curls himself into her arms like a little kid just absolutely broke me. Randeep was soooo good! Also the end? One of my fav bollywood movies and I'm usually a commercial movies kinda gal. The direction, the music, the acting, the story line, the cinematography.. everything was just perfection.
Oh man….. the fact that not just the girl but the audience too got Stockholm Syndrome is really a testimony to the director. The art of transforming an unnatural love story into something magical ❤❤ ahhh
??🤦♀️ Not only Alia's character *never* has Stockholm Syndrome in this story (SS means someone tries to befriend/takes the side of the kidnapper out of fear they would hurt them, and Highway shows the reverse) but also SS is not real. You can look it up. Doctors consider it a pseudo illness. It was invented out of nowhere by the Swedish police to discredit complaints about them.
@@AriaIsara Stockholm Syndrome is not a mental disorder. It’s more of an emotional response where a person forms an attachment with their captors. It is a coping mechanism usually happens with people who went through childhood trauma, sexual or physical abuse, etc. They see the other person not hurting you in a dangerous situation so they start to feel safe and form empathy with their captor. If you think what Aliaa Bhatt experienced isn’t SS, then you should research more on it I guess.
@@AriaIsara SS means developing an emotional connect (which could range anywhere from love to an understanding of behaviour of abductor) with your abductor as a means of coping with the trauma. It is a coping mechanism towards the whole event and not really a way to avoid abudctor's wrath or fear. It is discredited by psychologists due to lack of research (for obvious reasons) but Alia's character checks all the requirements of SS (real or fake) :
She never met Randeep before.
She develops emotional connect with him.
She was dealing with underlying trauma.
She resisted the attempts of authorities for sake of Randeep.
@@prajlikespuns 🙄 I just explained to you: IT IS NOT REAL. The amount of irony that you tell me to "research" when you have clearly never looked anything up regarding this. The Swedish police made it up on the spot after they botched a hostage rescue, in order to discredit the hostages who were complaining to the media about how the police handled things. None of it is real.
And _even_ if it was real, it's still clearly not what is going on in Highway, that's just a complete misreading of the plot. She feels safer with the kidnapper because she acrually is safer there than at home. It's not a coping mechanism. It's the reality of her home situation. You don't understand the movie.
@@Escapist... No. You can read my reply above. It's not because "lack of research" that it is not accepted in the medical field. The syndrome was made up on the spot by the Swedish police to discredit hostages who criticized how they handled things.
Also, even if it was real, it's clearly not what is going on with Alia's character, you just have a very superficial understanding where because there is a bond you think it necessarily means SS. The bond in the movie is not coping mechanism towards the event, that's not where her trauma is. Her trauma is her home situation. The bond they BOTH form (not just her) is around the fact they both have trauma, they both hurt and they find peace around each other. The bond is actually real and saying it's coping mechanism for her kidnapping is a complete misreading. Which should be pretty obvious to anyone watching the movie without having the SS bias in the back of their mind.
I got offended when you said its Tibet and i’m a Pakistani 😂
westerners cant believe that india and pakistan have some of the most beautiful mountain landscapes, they think all of us live in a garbage shi**ole haha
😂
🤣somebody pin this comment
Lmfao🤣
This needs to be pinned😂
😂😂
They're confused about geography because not everyone even in India know about the prominent Buddhist community in the north India. Monasteries and their entire culture is oblivious to many who haven't travelled.
Budhhism literally devoloped in North and East India, its basic knowledge
@@Chanakya831 depending on your region and education you'd know. Also not everyone knows that region so well. Just like many indian people are unaware of the northeastern states.
India is hidden from the world god knows why. That's why when people from other countries see anything beautiful they don't imagine it to be from India and we all know why. To be fair we deserve it coz neither we nor our govt give two cents to how should we advertise our country to the world, how to deal wid any propaganda against us and give our own narrative which the world can hear. We are fine wid our negative image in the world.
Not for Americans it isn't basic anything. @@Chanakya831
@@Chanakya831 but these are Americans...they don't know basic history or geography
Fun fact... Did you know that Mr. Hooda... Did not speak to Aliya for around 20 days so that she would really feel scared of the character.. ... That's an amazing co actor❤❤❤❤ love him for that
Omg! I’d obviously expect that from him
For correction every scene or place is in India. And every mountain shown in film is in India.
Mah man hooda didn't get his due credit anytime
This is not Tibet and Nepal .... It's Indian state Himachal Pradesh.... ❤
The fact that this was Aliaa Bhatt’s second film !! 👏🏻 and Randeep Hooda kills it EVERY. DAMN. TIME.
Alright darling yaars, can’t speak for Michael, but personally I thought it was Tibet because I assumed they went all the way out of India and into rural Nepal because her family was so affluent globally. Naturally I thought they would escape as far as possible to be very difficult to find. Yes the monasteries were Buddhist, my family is Buddhist so I just came to that conclusion, maafki please!! How can I know about the landscapes of Kashmir etc if I’m not aware of how diverse India (one of the largest countries on this beauty planet) is?
And sorry again about Randeep not being in English Vinglish, I was thinking of COCKTAIL!! Another amazing movie!! Lets celebrate his birthday in August 🥰🥰🥰
This movie will never leave me, Imtiaz remains one of my top 5 directors forever. ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
India is a big country, don't stress about it. Randeep's latest film Swatantra Veer Savarkar (2024) is also awesome. It's about the freedom fighter who contributed to freedom from British colonialism. Great film.
ya the tibetan refugees settled down in our himachal after chinese capture and btw lama lives here too..... so you are partially correct buddy.
Absolutely no need to apologize. Just visit India😀
Two hurt souls came together to complete each other 🤌🏽❤️🫂
Exactly! The best shortest summary of the movie!! 👍
Alia won over my heart in this movie. She's such a mature actress.
randeep hooda's best movie is sarbjit (2016) everyone should watch this movie
Laal rang ❤
2016*
I Fully agree with you sir ❤
1000% agree. I dont think there is an Indian actor that can play that role like randeep did.
Alia Bhatt is the best actress of this generation, its not even close. Randeep Hooda is often disregarded but he is so good in this movie.
There was a theory i read somewhere - what if he was not really dead nd couple years later he came looking for her 🥺
Mannnnn what!
I would be extremely happy and I mean very very happy ❤
spot dead
This is the best reaction to this movie so far... everyone thinks it's just a movie about Stockholm syndrome but alia finally finding her freedom with a kidnapper it's just incredible.... Love you guys❤
Yes it was refreshing that not once the words "Stockholm Syndrome" (which isn't even real by the way) were uttered during the review 😀👍
This movie is not completely based on "Stockholm Syndrome"
I became fan of Randeep Hooda from the movie, which I think also was his first movie, RISK.
We don't have enough directors who would make good quality movies, regularly, using actors like Randeep Hooda and many others like him.
Nope he was in Monsoon wedsing
@@SumitSinha_ArtFreak Yeah, you're absolutely right about that. Monsoon Wedding came 6 years prior to the movie RISK. So, RISK was my first movie of him that I watched. Thanks for mentioning it.😊
Not nepal or tibet but my homestate himachal pradesh . Sang la, kinnaur ♥️❤️
Every scene shot in this movie is India, India has salt desert in Gujarat, Himalayan Mountain ranges in himachal pradesh, uttarakhand, Kashmir and Laddhak state of India, Each of these states have beautiful Buddhist Monasteries, isolated Mountainous villages which looks just like Nepal or Tibet
Hooda is a gem! and Alia was incredible... more-so being her 2nd ever movie!
the start of an iconic career!
This was Alia Bhatt's 2nd film right after Student of the year... Who would even believe that!!!!!
The way this film portrays the natural beauty.. those greenery, those beautiful mountains, those clouds, rivers is just astonishing.. comfort movie for real💝✨
Alia's first great performance. Kudos to Hooda too 👏
He was also in the movie Extraction along side Chris Hemsworth. Truly one of the most underrated actor.
i feel like people don't take us seriously when we say we're super diverse and how that includes the country's geography too 😂 anyways, great reaction you two. I really loved this one ♥
Watch Sharabjit from Randeep Hooda. Best performance of his life
That's not Tibet...that's india, Himachal pradesh..lol you see Indian police still think it's some other country?? 😂....we have snow capped mountains , land, beaches, sand dunes..everything in India. Not only Himachal many other Indian states like Sikkim, Meghalaya, Uttarakhand, J&K have such beautiful snow capped mountains but this movie is shot from Delhi to remote parts of Himachal
I like to imagine it just ended with them living in the village together as husband and wife lol 😅, blocked out the other ending
Great movie tbh .. the surprising part eawas Alia Bhatt's performance in this because this was her 2nd movie and in student of the year she didn't have opportunity to show her skills.
Randeep Hooda one of the gems in Bollywood..
All time great actor🙏🙏🙏
nobody can match imtiaz ali in movie making. His movies are deep philosophical and seeps in you everytime you watch it. He never make conventional Bollywood masala movie.
Huhh,
Why would you assume its not India ??
It is northern India and its stunning
It might come as a shocker to you but The country with the most extensive stretch of the Himalayan mountain range is India, Its 55 percent.
No need to be rude in the comment section, you can correct them nicely even indians do not know much about their own country. By the way 5:28 That's not Nepal that is kinnaur district in Himachal india 😁
Amazing reaction guys! M glad you understood the depth of this movie and the characters. Only people with heart can get this movie ;). And Vivian, especially loved your take on this movie and thanks for mentioning Randeep’s acting skills, he is truly outstanding!!

This part is just 😢
No offense to girls
But seeing a man cry like that hurts
They act tough , but their soft side is ....😢
what is the offense to take here? 😂
@@chipmunkishungry5237 in case ....cuz it's the Twitter generation
The entire movie is shot in India. Parts of Leh,Ladakh,Himachal Pradesh. Parts of India practice Buddhism too and not just Tibet❤
It’s India. Infact what you saw when u assumed it was Nepal are called Prayer Wheels or Mani Wheels which are usually placed outside many Buddhist monasteries. I live in North-East India and we have the largest Buddhist monastery in India. Also Buddhism originated in India so u will find Buddhist culture throughout the country.
Buddhism originated in Nepal my friend.
@@rookieo6439🤣 No one told you Buddha was a Hindu king in India?
Great monologue by Alia in the end
Its India not Tibet. India has snow capped mountaines , beaches , desert , dense forests everything.
Randeep Hooda is the most underacted actor
Oh Man!! How I loved this movie. His movie gave me a validation when everyone around me, made me so isolated.
RANDEEP HOODA IS VERSATLE ACTOR ,
Guys it is india. Not Nepal!
We have the most diverse and beautiful topography 😊
Patakha Guddi song has a really amazing meaning to it. Not sure if you had the lyrics for it on screen, do check out
I've never seen Viviene cried this much. Loved the reactions guys! ❤👍
Loved your reaction guys I think this was the best highway reaction out of all CZcams react channels
Imtiaz’s best work.. My favorite movie that left an indelible mark.. sheer rawness of Alia and Randeep.. Gosh! what a piece of art
When I watch this movie for the first time I cried a lot..this movie is close to my heart ❤
This is Himachal Pradesh, a beautiful mountainous state in the north of India. 'Him' means mountain 'Achal' means lap and 'Pradesh' means state or region. So the name literally translates to Region in the Lap of Mountains.
This root is also seen in the Himalay ranges where 'Him' is mountain and 'Alay' is place or home. So Himalay translates to Home in the Mountain or Mountainous Place.
Vivian Day I love your reaction. ❤
1. Extraction
2. Laal rang
3. Sarabjeet
4. Khichadi ( it was flop but i enjoyed it)
My fav movie of randeep hooda is laal rang n sarbjitt

I fell in love with Alias acting during this movie and i have always loved Randeep so it was a beautiful movie.
Beautiful snowy mountains are from India…

The location at the end with all the mountains is from Himachal Pradesh, India. Mainly around Spiti Valley

You guys should reallly see "Sarabjit"
Who agrees🤚🤚
Randeep Hooda is one of India's finest actors. Watch Laal Rang. You'll enjoy it.
All those shots are from India, Buddhism was born here and the Tibetan Govt in exile functions from India, till the time Tibetans can't return to their homeland, they are safe here 😌
Love this movie! Loved you reaction!
You guys need to check out Randeep Hooda in sarabjit. Him and Aishwarya Rai have acted brilliantly.
Itsin india in Himachal pradesh 😂
Hamara india hai hi itna ganda aur badbudar ki kuch bhi achhi location dikha inko nepal ya tibet bol dete hai hahaha
I AM OBSESSED WITH RANDEEP HOODA'S CHARACTER. I LOVE IT.
When you realise 😮 theres actually snow 🌨 in India, your education system (geography) failed you
you can just correct them by saying its india no need to be rude. it might look like a place she's seen in Nepal nothing wrong with that. Both places are beautiful
No need to be rude !
They are rude, because they are stereo typing India.
Why would they learn about Indian geography in detail in American schools? I sure as hell didn't learn about America's climate in my Indian school.
It's okay if people don't know, India is a big country with varying climates.
@@Ishita131 exactly
