- Video showing the many steps involved in creating a Black Helmet Supply (produced by LION) 9/11 Leather Tribute Helmet. Each helmet is hand-made, just like the one you see in this video.
The Black Helmet Supply by LION 9/11 Tribute Helmet is an NFPA 1971-certified, American Heritage Leather Fire Helmet.
This traditional-style leather firefighter helmet combines time-honored styling and craftsmanship with state-of-the-art advancements in design, leather tanning, and composites. The result is a low-profile leather fire helmet that is attractive, durable, and comfortable.
Please note that all of the numbered helmets have been sold. You can still order this commemorative helmet, however it will not have the branded numbering underneath that is shown in this video. Also, white and yellow are no longer available.
Available in black, and red. Both colors feature a black underside of the brim, so no matter what color your helmet is, you'll always have a black helmet.
This is a functional remembrance you can wear with pride. Take the 343 with you on your next run...

Just found this video. I have #052, it’s a nice helmet, in service since I got it, it’s a bit on the heavy side, but is a nice helmet.
My friend at work had one of those helmets, it fell apart in 4 months, he is the driver, he hardly even wears it. It looked cheap from day one.
want buy such a helmet. I'm Russian fireman. live in Siberia. city of omsk
@kpfe1 well brother this is supposed to be more of a useable commemorative piece of equipment. not a display piece or exact replica
Hi, just come across this video, an outstanding piece of work. Are there any left for sale, if so how much for each helmet?
@kpfe1 Actually I think FDNY uses Morning Pride now.
i d prefer a Cairns
I rarely see anyone using these they aren't even built well
How much are those and how long will they be for sale?
@Zeekstuff i think there 529.90 or something like that go to blackhelmetsupply
that helmet is?
i thought the first official victims were those who died on the plane... you know.. who died first..
still a nice helmet and gesture though
Dairyland Photography I think he was meaning first. Official first response casualty
how much fire helmet
This is not leather, it looks like fiberglass.
the fiberglass is sandwiched between leather per NFPA standards. Try again.
@@jbryantphotographer Yeah, don't know what I was smoking that day.
Want a REAL leather? Cairns in the one and only way, Don't get me wrong, Lion did an awesome job in a tribute but have horrible helmets.
I switched to Phenix TL-2 and love it , its lighter , more balanced and more comfortable than my 1010, 1044 or N6a, and ever since Cairns changed the Suspension in the 1044 all my firefighters are getting rid of there 1044s and going with the TL-2.
ALTHOUGH I'M NOT A FIREFIGHTER I DO AGREE THAT CAIRNS DO HAVE BETTER HELMETS
@@lindathrall5133you haven’t worn one your opinion doesn’t matter. Sit down.
