Am I the only one who's disappointed at this scene? I haven't watched the movie, but I read the novel, and when I came to this part in the story I thought, "DAMN, That must look totally beautiful. I'll check how it looked like in the movie." But now I feel a bit disappointed, the beautiful image that was in my head was kind of ruined. That's why books are superior to movies in storytelling most of the time.
VickytheCultLeader I did watch the movies and they are good, but I still prefer the books. They're much more engaging and descriptive. Nonetheless I like both versions of the story. New perspectives are always good.
Firstly, katniss never hesitates to hold his hand in the books. Secondly, where's the part where katniss sends out kisses and the audience try to catch them? Thirdly, that is not how peeta is described to look like in the book. Even katniss' character is slightly off. The book does it better.
coolnessjack777 well, you see its kinda hard to find the exact same people that were described in the book because that was what she pictured. She didn't describe a person because she might have not known that there was going to be a movie when she was writing the book. They got close tho.
Sigh... Books are an outlet for unlimited possibilities. When you're trying to make something into a movie and remotely realistic, you wont have the same boundless possibilities. Books can exaggerate, movies cant
shenaniganster I'm reading it right now, and wanted to compare myself. ..Then I catch sight of us on a large television screen and am floored by breathtaking we look. In the deepening twilight, the firelight illuminates our faces. We seem to be leaving a trail of fire off the flowing capes." I personally think both the movie and book do a good job. The description of the outfit is before fire is, " I'm in a simple black unitard that covers me from ankle to neck. Shiny leather boots lace up to my knees. But it's the fluttering cape made of streams of orange, yellow and red and that matching headpiece that define this costume. Cinna plans to light them on fire..."
CGI? Why would they do CGI fire? They could have just made 2 objects of the same size, set them on fire, film the scene and then replace them with the people...
I have read the book and watched the movie and I can clearly say the book’s descriptions are much more appealing to me, not that the movie did a terrible job either.
I kinda wanted the flaming capes to look more bigger and violent like it was described in the book
I completely forgot about that! Now I wish they did that as well. I also didn't think they were in black outfits in the books?
yeah, same
I thought the hair/hat was on hire too
Yeah I thought they were wearing stuff that matched the fire and her hair was down or something
IKR. And the flaming crowns. I was watching this scene in hopes of it being epic like the books
0:14 Snow realizes he's got trouble on his hands...
KA- BOOM!!! i do not associate with snickers

Movies have been good tho. You're missing out ;)

Same... I was about to comment the same thing... And I imagined Peeta differently...
+tiredofmakingupnames i just read the scene in the books again....and i was disappointed....again. even though the movies are good
ThatLimaBean C: Same, I imagined Peeta with darkish Skin, and Black hair. It disappointed me too.
The books are more breathtaking than here, just my opinion.
Harry Potter: the boy who lived
Katniss Everdeen: the girl on fire
Bella Swan: the girl who did nothing
yeah, I found that online
Jon Snow: the man who knew nothing
Bella swan: the girl who suffocated at the end of every sentence
Me: The loser who only knows memes
I like Bella tho- Not the movie Bella, but the book Bella. She's pretty compassionate, and has flaws.
Daenerys Targaryen: The Mother Of Dragons

"The book does it better" The book was the source material LOL, your statement doesn't make sense
How is the movie BASED on the book supposed to be better?
Katniss's hair is supposed to be in a braid
she was suppose to have a head dress for the fire as well
THIS GIRL IS ON FIIIREEE 🎶🎶🎵🎵
That scene made me shaking like a leaf....at the end of it I realized I've got tears in my eyes!!! So emotional!!!
when the camera backs from Katniss's face, the songs gives me chills
Peeta should be much taller than katniss, and also more muscular... he is a dwarf in the movie
+Jack Ripper it wouldn't be realistic really, since they are from district 12 (muscular) but katniss is wearing high heels i think..
Katniss needed to hold Peeta’s hand because she was about to fall off of the chair riot.
0:30 that face tho XD
Katness looks SOO different with her hair like that
Sigh... Books are an outlet for unlimited possibilities. When you're trying to make something into a movie and remotely realistic, you wont have the same boundless possibilities. Books can exaggerate, movies cant
Movies can too with special effects
@@vegannegan9652 special effects take a lot of money to look good and sometimes it still doesn’t come out right
She's just like, whatcha doing with my hand get your hand off!
yeah they sounded prettier in the book than here. proves that the book is better than the movie.
Can you tell me exactly what the book says at that part?

Yah it explained it better and prettier also her hair was supposed to be in a braid
sondash159 I know, the hair, Nope! And I imagined the cape to be Beautiful! Now I'm scarred for life because of that ugly thing!
Katniss girl on fire + peeta lover boy = lover on fire
No wonder Peeta loves her, she's on fire!!!!
this looks terrible.
this the shit i can do with turpentine poured on a friend's back.
not as glorious as i would have hoped this scene to be.
CGI? Why would they do CGI fire? They could have just made 2 objects of the same size, set them on fire, film the scene and then replace them with the people...
skydragon4ever it’s most likely that they could have more creative freedom over controlling the fire
Thats my favorite scene in the whole film :)
Best scene of the trilogy so far! Really enjoyed it.

The films are ok- but the books- oh the books are a treasure trove! I love the divergent books too
:O omg thanks! I was wondering, because this sound realllllyyyy cool. Thanks :D.
Watch this with "Girl On Fire"
What if the Hunger Games wasn't a book, it could be a video game.
Jem-Kimber-Aja-Shana YES! A way cooler and more interesting version of fortnight!
@@mikaylanelson20really?
"Katniss Everdeen, the girl on fire," Flickerman said calmly.
The music makes this scene.
Peeta always looks just a little frightened XDDDD
best scene ever

We have to get a live Detroit become human movie with Jennifer Lawrence as Kara
book was way better than the movie the book always is like this comment if you agree
Actually this is the only time where the movie was better because Suzanne is a playwrite so the movie better reflected on the book
@@osemwonyemwenuwadiae5449 the book is better
0:55 anyone else see haymitch smelling a rose here? Lol
Favorite scene :)))
Did anyone else notice Haymitch sniffing a flower at 0:54?
0:29 lol
Very different from the book with the hand holding! Looks well tho!
in the book to me Katniss wore a dress and only Peeta wore the suit i like the book better and i don't read much
It's called Horn of Plenty ;)
Kartniss is my lesbian awakening
This girl is on FIRE!!! Oh my God, Put her out!!!
her stylist said they wouldn't feel anything.
Does President Snow reminds everyone of John Kramer from Saw or is it just me?

Ghost Rider: seen it

Tf2 players in a shellnut
in the book it sounds so great the movie makes it look crap
They could have done a better job using Aerosol and a lighter.
