I think making it about phone apps is a good idea since it will be more up to date an relate more with people today.

MrKinds01 Which is a smart move too do to appeal to todays people,I mean all my friends at school are always on there phones even adults so it makes perfect sense what this series will do.

+Nicholas M. Daskievige (1Soniccool) Considering what they did to Xros Wars, I never want them to touch Digimon again.
Well, they always need their new gimmick (jogressing, card swipes, fusion etc). What's interesting is that this one is trying to incorporate modern technology to it's strength, which works great since digital devices are a much bigger part of the world right now. There's a lot of potential and it'll be interesting to see how it all turns out.
It's a clever idea, I give it that.

The only thing I could get here is that this could be putting us as the protagonists (or antagonists) everyone (well maybe) wanted to be a DigiDestiend and because it's a show there's (obviously) merchandise, which is only available in specific areas. Maybe, this could be the one where we could be like the DigiDestiends in the upcoming season 7. But what if...IF the app releases earlier than the anime itself, could we get a glimpse of what the anime could be like? (Or probably we can go on our own adventure)

+John Balkin True, when I heard of the app announcement and saw the "location" app or simply Google map icon, I thought it was a Digimon version of Pokemon Go, but who knows?
Sounds basically the exact same as NetNavi in Mega Man Battle Network.
So I'm confused if they're now completely changing their names to "Appmon," and making this a whole new thing that is somewhat of a spiritual successor to Digimon, or if these guys will still be Digimon, and are just using the name "Appmon" as some alias or something?
+The GloryXros Yeah i know..kinda confusing. But since the Digimon are in their phones..they call them Appmon (my guess). Computer Digital Monsters are from the old days XD. Phones are the future :P. They are still Digital Monsters...but in application forms?
Pokemon and Digimon are both going towards App's. I want a App War Pokemon Vs Digimon.
Digivices have always mimicked recent technology, so I don't think it's any more of a gimmick than Frontier's digivices originating from cell phones.
I wonder it will be a sequel to Tamer.
