When I am in a thrift store or flea market, my thinking is always "Where there's smoke, there's fire." After doing this for awhile you can sense when items are just random one-offs or collections and when you should dig more. I have often found multiple similar items around the store because of this thinking. Your digging for the ties shows this.

@@forwardflips mostly charity shops or kilo sales where clothing is done by weight. But we also do flea markets but it’s called a car boot sale wish we had good will bins

Love your videos! Don't hesitate to sell clothing that seem out of season based on your area. Selling on Ebay there will be much warmer or colder climates over the United States. If the comps are good, list it.
This video has it all! celebrity cameo at 23:38, a chickfila trip, tons of good finds and some packing tips! If it was me, I'd probably just lot up most of those ties unless there are some that are worth a bunch. Its a quick easy Christmas buy as a lot for someone.

Not to sound rude, but that's the only thing I don't like about them. I found it sad that they buy toys / plushies for the dog to ravage. Ofc, that's their money and their choice, but I can't help it, I don't like it.
My kids are pretty hard on stuffies, too. Dogs need toys also, I don’t mind it when they give the dog a toy.

The ties brought back memories of a friend of mine whose job required him to wear a tie every day. The thrift shop he went to would sell ties bundled at 10 for a dollar; he'd buy 10 bundles at a time. Over the years that I've known him, he's never worn the same tie twice. Thanks for the memories...

Ohhhh, you passed on the Town & Country utensils!! I just sold a set on eBay recently--you probably saw mine when you were running comps. Well, to be fair, they're not terribly impressive when you see them; I am not even sure why I gave them a 2nd glance and looked them up, but I did and got 6 place settings at my local GW store. Also, great score on the Trump ties! I would probably list individually and mention in each ad that I have more and will be happy to combine ship.

Great score at the bins! I think listing individually would definitely be best. Mostly because you will get more money. Also, because people who are interested in one tie color might not be interested on the other colors. I would also not bundle the one with fraying with the others because of the different condition.

It's always a good day when one item pays for the whole run and everything else is profit. I haven't been to the Goodwill bins in about a year and have been sourcing antiques through auctions, but you made me want to check it out just because. $21 for 2 bags full of stuff is such a good deal!

Hello Josh, thank you for educating us. I want to give sneaker cleaning tip that I learned while cleaning my shoes. The shoes removable insoles were very very dirty. I scrubbed it with Dawn, and some other cleaner, but dirt stain were so stubborn. So I decided to try “All Purpose Cleaner for Rust, Lime and Calcium” it worked like a magic. As soon as I sprayed it with little scrubbing the insoles got spic N Span. I know sneaker cleaning takes lot of time and scrubbing. Please try it, it will make life little easier. I hope it works for you as good as it worked for me. Thanks for great work you are doing.

Josh, on half off day you can get a bag(the large bag)full of stuffed animals for only 50 cents. Glass is only .13 cents per pound and books are cheaper too per pound. Everything else is .89. I get to go tomorrow :)

LOVE watching for all the tips! Especially when it comes to packing and shipping. So far I am still selling stuff that comes from family or hubby's toys but going to the thrift store (because my friend and I love to thrift!) tomorrow and going to keep my eyes peeled for some of your good stuff.
On the ties, sell separate the ones that bring in higher value, then group the others. It all depends on the time you want to invest.

I’m binge watching some of your older episodes, and have become addicted to watching you unpack mystery boxes! I love the flea market finds too. Does the flea market you visit on Wednesdays and Saturdays stay open during the winter? I’ll be in North Carolina in February/March, and thought it might be fun to take a trip further south to visit the flea market if it will be open.

Your bins seem very calm and not as hectic as the ones here in Denver Colorado. Here its like a black Friday very crowded rush very hectic with employees screaming at everyone to stay back stop shopping each time they bring out new bins like prison guards. Alot more competition too people pushing and shoving each time the new bins come out. Not only with online resellers but also people from Mexico that resell in Mexico with many vans Mexican license plates being fully loaded with inventory all day long!! 😄🙂
Sounds like my experience here in SW Florida. Although it was Haitians grabbing up shoes! Lots of yelling by employees AND customers. I lasted about 20 minutes and couldn’t handle any more. 🤪

Bummer you didn't think to look up the flatware when you took the other stuff to the car but I know how that is when you're either in a hurry to get to more deals or forget to look things up. I once passed up a vintage Peanuts twin sized flat sheet for $.50 because my phone had died and I wasn't able to look up comps until I got home. But once I did, I turned right around and retraced my yard sale route to find the yard sale again. They sold it to me for $.25 since it had a few stains. It sold for over $100.

That black, gray, and white "thing" does go over a little girl's head. It's a poncho. They often came with slit holes on each side so you can slip your arms through them.
They were very popular in the 60s and 70s. And if you had a poncho and hip hugger bell bottom jeans to go with your poncho, you were really cool 😎. Lol
I don't know if you already trimmed that tie where it is fraying a little bit. But if you take a lighter and just barely touch the frayed part for just a millisecond it will fix the fringe and seal it so it won't fray again.
I've been a florist for over 40 years, and anytime we get silk ribbon or Even material, that is starting to fray, that's how we fix it. You can only do that with natural fibers not nylon, or polyester blends.
I don't know if you've ever bought rope, and it's melted/ sealed to stop it from fraying. It's like that.

Thanks for the shipping tip on using two priority boxes. I did, some time ago, shipped in two flat rate and paid twice for both boxes combined. I’d just about stopped listing large items because of that, now I can start back, especially for platters. I sell a lot of china stoneware and glasses. I love you and Haley and really enjoy watching the two of you shopping together.
