Honestly if someone criticizes how long Boss run backs take in these games, I don't care about their opinion anymore. These games are not boss rush games. From software does not have to design Boss run backs to be simple after you've learned where to go. If they designed the run backs to be impossible to ignore the enemies I would not start complaining as if that were a negative
Mauler has always been an annoying ponce. As aggravating it is to have people quote him (even unknowingly) with these bs complaints, its doubly as satisfying to have your videos to point to for easy proof that DS2 haters are just following a meme.
Personally I consider the "levels are too long" (what a "boss runback" is) to be a red herring. If the games are supposed to be rpgs that include levels then the levels, and the traps and enemies therein are a part of the challenge (why I consider hacked challenge runs that skip levels illegitimate).
After watching these videos I've started to think that the avg "fans" of fromsoft games only have interest in fighting cool looking bosses with epic sounding music for the entirety of the game, and the rest of the areas/enemies can just be thrown into the trash bin.
I had no idea that players without the dlc could join those coop fights via those statues. Ive always wondered what the deal with those were. Thats actually really cool
New Londo’s lack of bonfire is honestly inexcusable. DS2 had much better placement of bonfires compared to DS1
Legend says he's still doing the walkback to Alone to this day as a break from the stress of having to listen to Mauler's inflated ego
when the run to pinwheel lasts more than the boss fight itself
There are crazy people who say you shouldn't summon the NPCs during Radahn's fight, so a whole area like that had no chance.
Glad to see someone actually testing these runbacks to back up their claims
Lost izalith run back 💀
Ds veterans when the game actually makes you take your time and not rush through the area 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

The real problem is how Mauler pronounces "Worse"
Domo, can you do a video on ch0pper's "Ds2 is worse than you remember" video? Just the title alone is obnoxious and put me off.
Domo: “No one has died to Pinwheel”
MauLer could have a secret boss at the end of Ash Lake instead of the covenant and say: Yup, 2 minutes of walking is totally fine.

I mean mauLer is legitimately fucking insane lmao.

Debunking Mauler Part 8
Mauler: "Don't make comparisons that make DS1 look bad! The game that is a sequel has to be judged by its own merit!"
"It takes 69 seconds to run back to fight Sinh, the Slumbering Dragon again."
