I get the feeling that the writers got their job by being related to the head of the studio, or some incestuous hiring going on. And the result is the exact opposite of a passion project for someone who loves the comic books, and the character, and truly wanted to do a great job with the chance their were given, instead they just are some nephews and nieces who just want to use this as a stepping stone to become producers and have a giant house in Hollywood.
What happened to Marvel. Remember how good Iron Man was, how surprisingly good the suit design was, and how much love they put into the first flight sequence, or the how good Robert Downey Jr was, and everyone in that movie was.
now we have this, just an utter example of corporate greed, and nepotism replacing talent and passion...

If you call that good writing, and a supposed finale that is supposed to stand against shows like Lokie, or look at a show like ‘The Last Of Us’ based on a video game ip, and it puts She Hulk to absolute shame. Also anyone who knows the Hulk comic books, especially the World Breaker Hulk run, would never make his son Skaar out to be as they butchered him in that show.
She Hulk comic books are ok as well, lots of material they could have went off of with the She Hulk character, instead we get a demasculated ‘bro’ version of The Abomination as the big bad ending, no wait we don’t even get any final battle because they think She Hulk actress talking to a robot called Kevin is somehow more fun. Do these people even like comic books? Comic books are driven by physical combat and cool tech, scifi, cool powers, far off worlds, etc. why they hell would anyone think that people want to watch a middle aged woman talking to a lame robot about more lame ideas for a movie that clearly was never going to happen. These people who wrote these episode, and the director(s) are not comic book fans i am sorry. These are people who like sitcoms and bad writing, not even my dinner with andre, but A Wrinkle In Time kind of bad. The stuff no one likes or goes to see, or has a found memory of. People who think they are more important, and smarter then they really are…
I have no problem with different tastes. For instance A Dinner With Andre is not really my thing but i could respect the writing and acting. There is literally nothing good about She Hulk. I mean we have had many brilliant female action role models, from Ellan Ripley to Sarah Conor, or Katniss, Wonder Woman, Uma in Kill Bill, Black Widow, Milla Jovovich, Angelina Jolie, Kat Beckinsale, etc etc.
But why are we supposed to just side with a boring nothing special woman, if you had the equivalent in a guy, no woman would care to watch, why do they expect this to work in the reverse. You can’t put the most average person on the screen and not even guve the viewers more then a few seconds of She Hulk and expect people to care. Again if the roles were reversed it would also not attrack any viewship. U can’t just want the world to be such that average looking people with zero personality to be interesting. She offered nothing you couldn’t find with any person off the street. At least if she had witty or smart dialogue people might tune in like a show i don’t like myself but at least understand why it had some success, in Fleabag. At least the dialogue is interesting. She Hulk, why was it worth watching at all? For any demographic. She wasn’t interesting in the least and the rating bore that out…

Man…talk about a big disappointment. So this means that everything that happened in season 1 was pointless since Jen defeated them offscreen like it was nothing. The Fourth Wall Break was amazing, but really, is this how it ends? This honestly feels like cheating. Jen just overwrote the ending of her own show to get the easiest, laziest ending ever

I think that part of why this was so jarring was because the fourth wall breaks felt kind of like an after thought for a lot of the series. They were there, but there was much flair? Until the last two episodes, I was able yo kind of just ignore them (partly because they just felt like such rough draft material-idea was there, but not very polished up). Then they were suddenly hitting this hard, and it just felt so different

@@slofimeditation2899 understood but you have to admit that the writing could've been so much better than this. It's all over the place with very little to no creativity. The whole series was just so badly structured. Doesn't require huge budgets to write some Ally McBeal / Boston Public style episodes - just takes good actor, great scripts, and camera work to make something special. I'm thanking god for Werewolf by Night as it now sits as number one of Phase 4 amongst all that Marvel has put out so far.

I kinda enjoyed the first 8 episodes until the 4th wall breaking scene in the finale. She-Hulk talking to the producers of the show, walking into the Marvel Office and literally talked to K.E.V.I.N about the MCU characters and complained about the storyline just took me out of the immersion. I know that the MCU is fiction but the characters shouldn't know they are fiction. The MCU is where all the characters in it should be real, in THEIR REALITY. After watching Jen talking to the producers, I immediately felt disconnected from the show and I can no longer empathise with her suffering. Since she knows she's not real, then what's the whole point of her show then.
Just because She-Hulk went this far with the wall breaking in the comics, it doesn't mean she should do so in the MCU. This MCU was established since 15 years ago and then to suddenly have this 1 character jumping in and saying all these characters are just fake really spoils the watching experience. She Hulk in the comics should stay as a standalone.

I saw the marketing, realized it wasn't for me and didn't watch. Now I just search for any snippets that have anything important relating to the MCU as a whole, like re-introduction of daredevil and introduction of Hulk's son.

She-Hulk as much as I love the character, the show was absolute crap. They made Jen truly unlikeable, selfish, shallow, self-serving and really arrogant. There was no character development at all. But what really pissed off was the constant breaking the 4th walls. Deadpool does it, but the difference is, it's cleverer of how it uses that trick to move the plot along.
And the ending just sums up everything for me. I'm sorry, but I did not like this series. Such a shame.
