upon hearing this song on an internet radio station out of Jellico, TN in 2002, I knew immediately that this was a singer/songwriter that had a future. Also have to acknowledge Heidi's beautiful fiddle playing. Watching this and having seen the Travelers play at the time, it was evident that Martha was extremely shy. The collective no doubt gave her the opportunity to get the courage to share her gift with the rest of us. Many thanks to all responsible for enabling that plant to flower.

Poignant and plaintive, Hallelujah is a classic by any measure. The first time I ever heard this was at our local art film theatre during the Banff Film Festival. I would've never imagined that this would work so beautifully with a film about outdoor adventure, but wow... I've been in love with it ever since. I just wish I could remember which film it was that they used it in.
