Too bad this isnt something that anyone will take interest to, not bcuz of stupid calculations, but because of the vagueness of how damaging system works in ML. I love analysing shits in games, and trust me i could tell you almost instantly every magic or physical bonus a hero's skill gives with high accuracy. If you dont know what i mean about the vagueness of the damaging system, I was talking about physical and magic defense. As you can see even in this vid when he was talking about Terizla with Blade Armor vs Aldous, he only mentions Terizla's dmg reduction bcuz the calculation is obvious on that one, but doesnt include physical dmg reduction from physical armor cuz why? Cuz we dont even know 1 physical armor tanks how much physical dmg anyway
Edit: forgot to include he also mentioned Twilight's passive 20%physical dmg reduction, which adds up to 50%reduction after adding 30% dmg reduction fromTerizla's passive while having 40%HP. But still yea, Terizla should take even lesser dmg if you also count his base physical defense and the one provided by Blade Armor

Twilight armor: good against burst heros
Dominance ice: good against lifesteal
Antique Cuirass: good against basic attacks and high burst damage
Dreadnaught armor: good for carry/squishy hero
Blade armor: good for heros that always takes enemys dmg
Brute force plate: good for squishy jungle carry roles/ good against high mobility assasins

Brute force breastplate is one of my faves though. Even though it only gives less premium on base stats, the passive don't just give you extra Phy Def by extra Mgc Def too, that is on top of the extra mobility. It's my first choice of def items for non-tank if the enemy composition is quite balanced but I'm the type of marksman/fighter who will have at least 2 def items on my build. As a solo que player, I need to make my build more of a balance of offense and defense since I can't always trust my teammates.
Such a neglected topic by pretty much every other MLBB content creator. You always see streamers changing their equipment / creating their build on the fly but never explain WHY they are buying certain items rather than sticking with a "best" build for the character they are playing. Thank you, Dave! I would watch in-depth, descriptive videos like this anytime over just watching gameplay footage (unless said gameplay footage was broken down play-by-play to explain WHY you are/aren't doing certain things or WHY you are doing something a certain way!) Keep telling us WHY Dave!

Aside from hylos and Esme, other tanks relies on mana to cast skills. Uranus and belerick consumes a lot of mana when casting skills.

As for a tanking I try to use Twilight when I can. Stacking those %hp damage really hurts when enemy does not take notice. Oracle and dominance is staple. All else are situiational.

about the upcoming revamp of the Antique Cuirass being triggered only by skills, does Ling's 2nd skill count as a skill or a basic attack? the same goes for Claude and possibly other heroes that uses skills but triggers basic attacks
It's like an enhanced attack from a Skill, yeah it's considered as an Attack.
Raw attacks or Basic Attack which is the Old passive of Antique cuirass in the original server.

Buying both warrior boots with dreadnaught really early in the game makes my beatrix basically unburstable. It's so damn funny seeing a saber, roger or lancelot go at me with a full combo and I tank it all lmao. Then they're dead because bea still has damage despite having two defense items

@@ygcode9454 if I'm against a physical mm or assassin, I rush warrior boots and dreadnaught. I then buy either hunter strike, dhs, or haas claws as a first full item (hunter strike against squishies and dhs if I'm against high regen)
If I'm against a mage, I just buy boots (either not fully built or I turn it to tough boots. Tough boots doesn't have high magic res per gold but it can be useful against stuns) together with 2-3 of those yellow coat thingies that give +18 magic res. That should have roughly the same effect as buying warrior boots and dreadnaught but for mages. If it's not enough, buy more of the yellow things. They're so damn cheap it's insane
The rest of the items are a combination of the three items I said above + blade of despair, malefic roar, golden staff, corrosion scythe (btw this item considers her shotgun as melee now), wind of nature, brute force, athena, immortality, winter truncheon, rose gold. Just pick from the list depending on the situation. All of those items are effective on her in some way (even winter truncheon). Core items would be some sort of lifesteal item, damage/penetration item, and an attack speed item (if you get dhs, you tick off 3 out of 4 requirements). After that, go defense or even more damage.
My typical first two full items are hunter strike and dhs. Gives me the ability to fight anyone in most games. You might need different items depending on your playstyle and situation

Dominance ice is good for Aulus. Mana for more skill spams along with cd reduction. Physical def to be tanky in teamfights. Extra ms for him with his 1st. Then anti heal and as reduction for close fights.

As a tank main, I always use Dominance Ice. And now they buffed it, I'm glad because I won't really rely on my teammates against sustain hero and they can focus more on damage items.
Never again will I have to beg a mage to get Necklace. Never again will I have to explain what Seahalbert is to physicals xD

Am I the only one to know that twilight armor can also be useful for mages? Unless when there's crit or more assassin heroes. It's scales well combined with clock of destiny and lightning truncheon based on max mana = proc dmg.

Trunceon passive deal 33% of total mana pool. So building twilight only give you boost of 100+_ dmg. Not worth it.
Other magic item give you at least 70 magic dmg. Which scale better with mage skill compared to extra 100 flat dmg which is not even true dmg.

I have played this game *Mech Arena in November 2020.....while it was in it's beta version......it's a fun PvP with limited duration.....it really feels good that people are trying out this game more and more 😀

If the main dps of the enemy team is a demon hunter user I think it's good to build just dominance ice + blade armor as they don't give hp so DHS isn't that effective against you as a tank.
Phantom armor is realy underrated i use it when the enemy has miya hanabi and moscov those marksmans melt a tank so fast if you dont get the crit reduction

I actually have a question for a very long time. Antique Cuirass lowers the magical damage and physical damage of your attacker, right? Does it only affect one hero or multiple? If all enemy team had hit me at least five times then do all of them get the debuff or does the first attacker take priority of the debuff? Let say that all my teammates have Antique Cuirass. Would that mean we can debuff an enemy hero five times with it?

I main rafa lately and when there is a gusion or selena in the enemy team, athena's shield combined with radiant armor usually makes me unkillable for them lmao.
Frankly, Athena's shield is enough but radiant armor helps so much in making any magic damage become useless lol.
In physical damage threats, I usually pair dominance ice and antique cuirass

Idk, but Hylos has 2 Main items that are super important for him and super effective and like enchance him more on the Game.
Dominance ice, is like himself. The passive, mana, cd reduction, attack speed slow. But more better with him. So, it's a Yes.
It also benifits to Belerick, Uranus, Atlas, Khufra. Almost mostly of Tank, Support and makeshifted tank heroes.
Twiglight, is his next main item. He's a Punching bag and also the Passive of Twilight actually benifits from the Health pool mana of Hylos which can make it to like 6000-7000 health for only 2 Items alone. It's also your main fool proof counter against Atk. Speed Marksmans with the Crit reduction+DI passive+Hylos 2nd. The marksman is literally has no Atk. Speed.

Isn't the purpose of Mana stats in Twilight armor and Dominance Ice is for tanks that require mana? As a tank user it's annoying to go back to base even at healthy hp just because of low mana which means that the adc or jungle we are babysitting is vulnerable especially in the early game.
When you care less, you're happier.

Dave please do comparison between NOD, Dom Ice and Sea Halberd....im an angela user and not sure whether to use Dom ice or NOD...bcause Dom ice is like aura (not sure) so everyone in radius will be affected while NOD only activate its anti heal when my skill or basic attack hit the target.🥺🥺

Now add it up, if you're a Terizla with a Vengence. You have like almost 150% Damage reduction. But ofcourse, say hello to Execute.

If you completed the build path only one passive will be triggered.....the passive in your build path will be only triggered if u did not bought the original item....so if you completed the build path and bought the item
