- By Chance I saw a link to a just opened POP UP Campsite in the Lake District. The Weather has been been pants so off I popped for an Overnighter in Travis, for me probably the best Campsite I have ever been to?? Grab a Beer or 2 :)

That's a gem of a campsite £25 a night cheap for the Lakes.
I know I’m back again tomorrow for a night on the bike with a few of the lads £20 bike and tent 😎👍

Just come across this video while watching your motorcycle wild camping videos, funnily enough I ride a Tiger 1200 and also use my camper van when needs must 👍🏻 cracking location in the lakes.
Good watch Steve. I think you fell on your feet with the pitch/destination. It's a lovely part of the country. It's around 2 hours from Newcastle, so it's far enough away to constitute a night away. Keep them coming. Thanks for sharing

Im only in Oswaldtwistle, and this kind of field is EXACTLY the out of season camp i look for. Does the farmer have a website or facebook page to contact him on?
Hi Simon thanks for watching and subscribing, much appreciated. I must admit not done any new vids for a bit life sometimes gets in the way. Anyway the campsite was a pop up one I found by accident. If you have a look at the couple of other vids I did there I think I posted the details up, and there was a sign when I drove in I think if you pause it. ATB Steve 👍

I’m thinking of popping up on the bike next week maybe hmmm 🤔
He will give you key if u clean up after u. I have pop up 5 litre with lid put a compostable bag and paper in it if ur stuck. U can buy a mini shower 25 pound is expensive if u don’t have use of facilities. Get a bucket bbq from b&q only £8 or ten we have a uv zip up beach tent to shade us. Get a solar powered usb power station. I’ve also got a power pack from Halfords better than the power packs u see I’ve got plug tyre pump usb light I got it for 75 in sale I always take my own shower spray and wipes before I use there toilets also if you get some none stick foil and potatoes and oil them wrap um up pop um straight on bbq. Take some fly spray and rub urself down with oil mix and lavender or citrus therapy oil that will keep flys away always stay away from water that’s where bugs are
Watched it again . You won a watch there . Ide say mid week only . Brilliant peaceful place for a peacefull few days . Cold beers and a book . Lol okay a sound like a bore . 🤣

I didn't know about this place Steve, we rang up and they said it was £25 a night for vehicle/tent and 4 people. Not bad for peak season camping in the middle of the Lake District.
It’s Brilliant I know it’s not our usual roughing it routine but the lakes and a great view. I’m up there again with a couple of the lads on bikes on Monday when are you going ?

@@stevebutler7156 Campers have to leave by 12 but there will be other times, I'm sure I'll bump into you at some point in the future. Ive recently bought a Citroen Berlingo XL so have been watching your van videos for tips. Im camping with the family and tomorrow is our first trip in the new car. I won't be sleeping in it though, I'm bivving up the fells and hopefully upload in about 1 weeks time.

The owner told me he owns most of the land round there, about 800 acres so any out of season wild camping trips to give him a call. Look forward to your next vid 😃👍 Ps I’ve just invested in a Drone DJI Mini 2 great bit of kit. Ordered off Argos clicked and collected, thought the box was a bit big? Opened it up at home there was 4 inside 😂😂 (you buy one you get 3 free)

I've got a normal van but inside it has a camping conversion, I'm a bit nervous about being rejected from campsites as I've heard they don't accept builders vans, apparently they need additional windows and a side awning / zip on tent combo? i've yet to sleep in it, it doesn't bother me, it seems to blow many peoples minds that you would want to, id just rather it was minimal and mobile rather than a convoluted camp simply to put others at ease that your not homeless, a criminal or a pervert... thoughts?
To be honest the campsites I’ve stayed on I haven’t had a problem with, and other trips have been on the wild side. I’ve now sold The connect and I’ve recently purchased a new Transit Custom Campervan. Video on the way, enjoy your time in the Van just make the most of it. ATB Steve 😃👍
