  • I'm dad. I cook the main meals for my family most days. A few years ago, I was fed up with going to the supermarket and thinking about what we were going to have for tea (dinner) each night. So... I made a 10-week dinner plan. 7 different meals each week, for 10 weeks. And... food my kids would eat. They needed to be easy to make (most of the time), try to fit in a $20 to $25 (Australian) meal budget, and be reasonably healthy.
    This video series shows all the meals each week for the 10 weeks. If I manage to pull it all off, I should post 70 videos in total. 10 weeks of different meals. Sometimes it will be takeaway or dining out, and that still counts. Me and my dog Willow the Pillow. Crappy videos, horrible lighting, and really bad sound. Pure dadness!
    Today is Week 3 - Baked Beans on Toast.
    You need:
    8 slices of bread
    3 or 4 cans of baked beans
    Margarine
    Grated cheese (to make it gourmet)
    Week 3 Meals:
    Sunday - Tuna pasta bake
    Monday - Sausages in bread or with veggies
    Tuesday - Savoury mince and mashed potatoes
    Wednesday - Atlantic salmon and veggies
    Thursday - Chicken skewers and veggies
    Friday - Takeout (Subway)
    Saturday - Baked beans on toast
