They did. Thrawn Trilogy, Dark Empire Trilogy and Crimson Empire Trilogy all got hardcover Omnibus books. Only thing is they are all now out of print because they were all made during the Dark Horse era of Star Wars comics.
@@ladic Marvel could easily reprint them. They fully own the rights to the Star Wars comic license. It's just that Marvel seems to be more focused on reprinting the older stuff through their Epic Collection line. Marvel doesn't seem to care about putting Star Wars comics in Omnibus format unless THEY specifically made it (either as part of the new canon, or back when they originally had the license).

Great overview! The original Marvel Years are so important - they developed continuity w/o any help from Lucas, and in 1-6 they didn’t even have models from the film to work from. Kids like us had no idea Empire was coming, so all those characters and situations were just made up by the creators.

This collection if star wars collection of omnibus is dope especially those my modern star wars one I love the jason aaron run I never collect the whole issues individual but read them in the smaller collection when they were coming out

Does anyone know if the trade paperbacks have individual covers for each comic like the Omnibus does? I know the set is 7 TPBs for Aphra, but I'd hate to give up individual cover arts..
I have the UK star wars comics from 1 thru about 120, there are many after that I am still missing from the empire strikes back and return of the jedi era. All the ones I have are pretty much vf > nm file copies so would like to find nice ones to fill in the gaps but I have been unable to really find any other issues whatsoever. They are pretty tough to find. Maybe someday they will make an omnibus for what I'm missing. The Uk ones are magazine format.
SW still has some good material despite the ep7-9 nonsense. Those don't ruin the series, the good stories still exist no matter how they were treated by Disney.
I might ask my local comic shop to see if DA is still available. I gonna hunt down Star Wars and Vader from Disney’s new run and add to the collection.

There was a hardcover collected edition of all 3 volumes of Crimson Empire but it's a pain in the but to find. There were also the same for Legacy.
