Really nice, Tim. I have the trifecta, M32, SH, and DFAM. I can't tell you how much I love them all for different reasons. But back to you - this is just very relaxing!

@TimShoebridge Sounds nice. Do you se the new "MIDO Remote" to control your hardware, or still with the Generic Remote? Would be nice to see a video on how you connect and control your all your devices via modi and how you avoid the related problems.
@@TimShoebridge heads up, someone has already done an interesting pan pseudo mod.Daisy chaining 2 units, panning L 1 unit, R the other. Every2nd note is sent to the other synth, so you get a spread of notes. I don't think it works well when you use short stabs, but for pads, I think you could have a monster 16 voice monster with no issue of voice steal. You control the other synth from the master, so it reacts to panel controls. Issue here, well you need to buy 2, and for the asking, you can get some nice other gear, probably with not as many voices, but you can get some nice gear. I'll wait to see what the UBXa does.
Tim, a question if I may, do you think B's offerings do justice to the Moog Trio? Mother 32 = Crave: DFAM = Edge, Sub = soon to be released Spice. I had 2 M32s and wanted to see how far I would explore this and found that this was a seriously expensive way to get a sound that wasn't overly unique to me. I had 2 M32s and have seen people state that you would want a minimum of 3 to really get the best out of them. They sound great, just with only 2, I never found them engaging enough for the asking price of 2K AUD. I can get 3 Craves, 2 Edge and 1 Spice for less than what 2 M32s cost me, so you can sort of see why I am asking the question. I think the Edge sounds great but is very limited with the 8 step sequencer, is there any way you can chain 2 units together to make it a 16 step sequence? I know you have no bias when it comes to who makes what, that's why I decided to ask. 🙂
Hi. I have both the crave and edge, they are a very good approximation to the original sound. I much prefer the layout of the Moogs if you are going to stack them, patch points on one side makes life a lot easier, but the price difference (new price) is huge. Here in the UK used prices are hitting rock bottom thanks to inflation, high interest rates, and general government incompetence. I've seen M32's sell for just over £300. Not sure what the used market is like where you live. I'll definitely get a spice when they come out, just wish Behringer improved the designs rather than copy them. A Subharmonicon with an eight step sequencer instead of four would be amazing....! 😏
@@TimShoebridge I hear what you're saying re layout Tim, I found the M32 very hard on my eyes so needed glasses to read the ins n outs, on my desk the 3 tier would obscure my PC screen so I sort of needed to keep things laid flat. I never have much room for my gear so space is of a premium. M32s sell $1050 AUD here, 2nd hand they're like $900, that's still almost 3 times what a Crave sells for. In this instance, I think B's flat approach allows me to stack 3 without getting in the way of my screen. I just like that now I am able to afford something similar in the vein of Moog sound, for far less and a better suited format. I'll wait for the Spice to drop, see some vids on a trio and then maybe make a decision. Thx for the excellent reply. 👍
I can i fact HEAR the difference between a Crate and a Mother ! I dont really care if its "All in my mind - pcycho/Placebo" everything is ...just like taste and feelings - the fact is , that in MY "ears" the Mother sounds "Moog`ish" and the Crate sounds - "Behringer`ísh" - but when i heard the comparison with the DFAM and the Edge - i didn´t hear any difference .... ,- so its not that im a fanboy - its just my ear/brain interface - anyway - thankyou for the fine video´s you make ,-☺🙏
Beautiful tim. May i suggest you play a little before speaking so we have some context? I find myself always forwarding to what you did then coming back to hear what your thoughts are.
Yesss! I love my Subharmonicon. That was beautiful.
Incredible synth for sure. Pushes one in new directions.
Absolutely lovely! Great choice of sounds 🙏❤
The power of the ostinato is a force to be reconed with.
Listening to this and watching the sun set over the water in San Diego. Perfection! Thanks, Tim.

Sounds amazing tim! Piano and a Moog is such a tasty combo

Love It! Well done, Tim!
SHM is very friendly apparatus for midnight jamming. Real sweet playing, Tim! Thanks for not rerecording it, letting to enjoy pure inspiration.
So glad he didn’t record it. Or unless it’s devaluing the listener
sounds great! thanks for sharing
Just lovely!
I've owned a subharmonicon for a while now and it's probably my favorite synth even if it's always confusing what I want to do with it
Great Video! Thanks for sharing :)

Nice! Reminiscent of Chicane Remix of Flaming June
I'm a huuuge fan of Chicane ❤️
I shouldn't worry about the guitars being out of time. I play in a band and I have come to believe it's a feature....
Can't wait for the Boog Subbyharmonium.
Motif XS💪

The subharmonicon has such a distinct sound
