Carbon Own the City for the PSP is an absolutely outstanding game with a huge open world. I've been working on a retexture for it for years and damn that thing can look shiny with a new coat of paint.
@wedasantika6079 If you already have a PC the best thing you can do is try it, get PPSSPP and in no time you'll be enjoying this masterpiece. But to try and answer you actual question, there are many limitations: - No Speedbreaker, no pursuit breakers. - Customization is just bodykits, carbon hood, spoilers, wheels, side decals, crew tags, car and wheel colors and glass tint. - Performance doesn't have specific settings, you can just install a better or a worse part of each kind. - There are no challenges, canyons or drift events, and there is no posibility of unlocking special vehicles like the firetruck or hidden pre-customized cars. - The city is just a tweaked Rockport with simplified assets. But there are also some specific goodies: - 100 hidden object for you to collect in the open world. - A bunch of team members (maybe around 20) with all the kinds of cars and powerups you might need, and you can have 2 enabled at the same time. - New kinds of events and a revamped police chase system, I specially like the fact that you can see the health of their vehicles, allowing you to plan ahead while escaping or hunting other cars. - A new story with new characters that do not appear in any other NFS, but still happens all in the same universe. I'm sure there are more differences, but I think this is enough to figure out how if you might like it or not.

I remember with Gran Turismo PSP, it came out before GT5 and they had a thing where your cars from GT PSP could transfer over to GT5 once it released. So you'd grind like crazy on PSP and buy all the cars and then you'd have them all when you started GT5.

I felt like most of the NFS games on PSP were recycling too much assets - like most wanted, carbon and undercover had different modes (and also open world in Carbon) but the physics and sound effects made it feel too similar during actual gameplay. The one completely different was Shift - i loved the way cars could drift on the corners, the terrifying nitrous that could lead you to disaster making your car unstable, the weather effects. It lacked customization (there were some bodykits, but you needed to grind a lot with one car to unlock it) and there was no open world, but races alone made me love this game (it could be, that my vision is blurred by the fact, that it was my first PSP game, but my point still stands). Man... LA RUSH, it might not be one of the best racing games out there but damn was it still fun to play through. Especially fun is that one cheat that gives the traffic cars super speed and you can make some crazy crashes with it. TDU and GT PSP to me were the most technically impressive, TDU had the whole map, sure its downgraded in graphics a bit and the fps is a bit jank but having an open world racing game with a huge map on the go is just so good. GT psp was definitely the best looking and in itself, its a proper GT game in terms of quality and physics, minus a traditional GT mode but i cant help but be impress something like that can be put on a portable console.
You missed a good one. The Fast and the Furious Tokyo drift. Had the deepest car list only second to gran turismo. You could do races on the wangan (Tokyo expressway) as well run touge drift battle against all the people in the movie as well as plenty of made up racers for the game. Even Brian and Dom are in the game. I enjoyed that game more than NFS Carbon because of the amount of cars and real life customization parts you could put on each car. You should really look in to playing it or viewing it. There’s plenty of features I didn’t even mention and this game came out right when Carbon did.
Midnight Club 3 on the psp was unreal they basically ported the whole game over from the console version

I missed out on some decent racing games for the PSP growing up. I've only played Gran Turismo.
Played split second on ppsspp emulator on my phone, i can't believe how much is like the console ones, they made magic with that game
🔥🔥🔥🔥 I miss my psp. They really had amazing games
Hey my name is Muhammad i am from mozambique i like a lot of your vídeos ❤❤❤
This is so cool I searched for this im playing most wanted now on psp
The L.A. Remix thumbnail at 0:02 was clever 😂
Context: Both maps in the game are from Midnight Club 2.
For me it's Ridge racer, outrun 2006, burnout legends and split second
I was just looking up racing games on psp n then I see this!!!
