i wish they would do like 1.8.10 so its like 1.8 but with all new features so the transfer packets and all the new stuff

Obviously. Mojang doesnt bother updating old versions. If they did then 1.8 would have died long ago. @@StevenR8
@@hinakagiyama_ I think the reason why 1.8 is still massively popular is youtubers using it all the time, so all the people that look up to them will use it as well

1.20 on hypixel is fine but they need to improve combat support for it as it can be pretty buggy
from what I experienced so far, it's not that buggy apart from a few changes like blockhitting, swimming and so on, I can still play on it perfectly fine without any issue, only thing that messes me up is not being able to place blocks on grass/fire
I agree that 1.20 isn’t terrible, but I’m definetly staying with 1.8 lol
oh yea, I'm not trying to make people start playing 1.20, but rather be more open about it about the idea of it if hypixel ever drops 1.8

honestly i really dont like how depending on your version, you can either be really good in water or really good with negating damage
I don't blockhit in general so it doesn't bother me much, but I also asked a friend that uses 1.20 as well and told me blockhitting works, but it's quite scuffed, I might do some testing and see how different it is between the two in the future, but for now I'm just trying to get used to everything

He knows how to, he chooses to stay completely vanilla.
I don't play just bedwars (although at the moment I do), so using a pvp pack for games like build battle, murder mystery and so on seems weird and would feel a massive hassle to change it every time, so I rather just stick to one and vanilla works very well with that :)
