- Inspired by the Tuba boss themes.
Composed by me, played by me.
The Piano Legion of the former Strings Kingdom swears to restore order among peoples, with or without violence and deception. Their inevitable squadrons are fast and will chase enemies until they see them decease, while strong rulers coordinate from above. - Hudba
The rarest npc in the game.
The title literally says boss
@@Elwik_ is because he only find hin like a npc in the undengroun of the castle, but no in the fallen castle of ashes
(Sorry, my english is bad)
@@Elwik_ npc: non playable character
With a spawn rate only of 0,001%
Often Referred As the second strongest enemy in the game, the tuba archmage is barely better
What a tragic character the piano kingdom is gone, burned to ashes by the brass legion. But still the overseer watches over the kingdom he was sworn to protect. Perhaps maestro putting him out of his misery would be nicest thing to do.

@@josea.hilario712 yeah
You can spare him and he will join your party just like violin legionary and tuba heavy gunner.
Oh, but the mad mad king still has life in his work yet; one needs only to listen...
It's funny how Piano Overseer knows everything you've done on your journey and if he knows you've done the genocide route to destroy the Tuba kingdom he'll let you into his kingdom.
If he let's you into his destroyed kingdom and you have the triangle of soul sight you can still see the kingdom the way it was before the war, if you also have Maestro's conjuring and perception skills to max level you can also interact with some of the visions, btw there's one of these vision who can sell you unique items but this all depends on which route you did last
The overseer is a firm believer of "The enemy of my enemy is my friend". I think he actually says this in the journal you find in his old home.
Cool
You guys are so creative. The piano dude sounds like he's an anti-hero instead of a bad guy. Maybe he'll join the heroes in the final battle against the big baddie instead of falling into chaos so that the people can finally have peace...
Or he'll just sit there and die in the crumbled remains of his once beautiful kingdom. Sad fate...but perhaps a rewarding one.
thank you for the chuckle
What a truly heartbreaking fight to do. All the overseer ever wanted was to preserve and protect the kingdom he knew so fondly. A tragedy that his grief lead him to be the mad man that we meet in-game.
in the old site it said the overseer is supposed to be recruitable ally, but in the game you can only fight him.
i hope they put him in the next DLC though
He only has a 3.5% percent chance to spaw in ur world and if he doesn't u need a new safe file
@@josea.hilario712 this actually depends on the perks and backgrounds you get to choose at the very beginning of the game, you can see through the description of each of these and there will be hints of which ones will make him easier to spawn ;)
@@josea.hilario712 Dang. So like...if you offer him one of those disposable items you can buy at the market, does he take that as a bribe? I heard potatoes work well to entice him to join your side.
I also heard peanut butter sandwiches work well.
@@allieyi someone posted that you need a very specific karma score to succed in the recluitment.

Honestly one of the hardest bosses for the evil route
"They destroyed my kingdom. Killed everyone I loved. All to satisfy their material greed. I haven't let anyone take this land nor it's treasures. I won't let you!"
The keyboard kingdom, one that was nearly forgotten, hides in isolation from the rest of the kingdoms and takes no side in the war. Their isolation also makes them very defensive.
Rumour has it that they were created by dark magic fused with the lowlives of the piano dynasty, being exiled and seeking combined isolation.
_their king has gone mad, and was farce'd into exile.. in the Antarctic_
where is currently mingling with the local penguins, trying to uncover their runic mysteries..
*but they will not surrender them so easily.. Not. Without. A. Fight..*
Some rumors say that this kingdom was formed by the alliance between 2 exiles from the string and percussion forces, whom worked together to form this kingdom
I just realized he has TWO RIGHT HANDS
Ok so either this is a jojo reference or he’s hiding his two left hands behind his piano shield and saving it for his 2nd form
@@Minus-Premium dude stop this is not shit jojo reference.
@@shadybandit7 it actually is a jojo reference because the guy in the photo has two left hands, not right hands.
Well, he is the Piano Overseer after all...
Actually its two left hands. Its a reference/joke about the fight itself since piano overseer has really weak treble melodic skills, but his bass and arpeggio attacks are stupidly powerful for his level.
Kinda creepy how he mentioned that each of his keys were stolen from his entire clan. The fact that he kept stroking them and talking to them during the fight made me feel so uncomfortable. It made me feel better after the gruesome death cutscene.

@@redyyy07 Those would make good Pokemon for a song-based legendary. Sounds like it would be a cool getup for a gym leader.
Legend tells of an overseer aligned to a long lost kingdom. He cares not for the corruption nor the crumbling state of the world around him. He has one task: To defend the remnants of his kingdom from any and all who dare sully the very ground it was built upon by any means necessary
This fight is so emotional, the reveal of what happened to the piano kingdom is overwhelming
The hidden ending when you come with the gifted accordion is so sweet not only do you get him and the lost accordion player as Allys but getting the last group of the piano army to join you in the final boss brings a nice conclusion to their storyline
Oh my gosh... Something about this is just cool. It sounds so dramatically beautiful.
You did such a fine job composing it. The character sounds like they have such a melancholic backstory. And then it sounds like they die at the end, which is hilarious.
I only wish I could have had the time to play it better, cause I fucked up quite a lot kek.
Thank you for your words

Young maestro, what are you talking about ,piano kingdom gone? it's right behind me, I'm guard,I'll protect this place
*He say as he denied everything that already happened, his kingdom is destroyed, his family is killed,he is left just suffer along eventually he become madman, stray but always in the circle of the long lost kingdom*
"Never miss a staccato and a rest, Maestro."
I accidentally aggro'd this guy, holy shit I wish I'd taken the second option in his quest :(
The remaining city of the Piano Kingdom named Hopebury, has an engineer that if you bring to the Piano Overseer will allow you to summon the Piano Overseer once in any fight
The last line of defence for the piano kingdom the overseer has put their all in protecting their last but after seeing their loved one killed ( the melodica priestess ) they went into a frenzy destroying all that didn’t have the black and white notes of his kin , sometimes feeling a little weak when they see a small blow instrument , but they know that all must be eradicated for revenge not to become a thing illusionist type boss , has medium health on the lower side , light damage , fast moving speed , can be turned to your side if you are from the piano kingdom then he would be a debuff Ally who gives enemies the ]confusion[ debuff
The Pianist, now just a sad empty shell of their former self, a individual who lives away from the other kingdoms on a remote island.
You barge into his house and he begins to play, arms sprouting out of a body blocked to your sight, more and more seem to sprout covering over the many keyed instruments he has.
Enraged by your presence he just wants to be left alone, so he fights aiming to kill withought second thought, rubble falls from the shack threatening to crush you with every key that is played. Wont you just leave a Pianist to his own sorrow, why must you bug him?
The hero that we needed but didn't deserve
In my opinion this was by far the most emotional bossfight. Even though you destroyed the piano kingdom, he was still full of hope and tried to defeat you, although his attempts were useless. I almost cried at the part where he died and gave that long monologue about even though the kingdom is gone it will still live on through his children, who were watching the whole time.
Yessssssss I actually did cry because, if you listen closely, there's a few soft sad little notes that play IMMEDIATELY after the boss music ends when you kill him and it's coming from them
@@dewmilk7266 Truly a beautifully written character
Fuck it, I'm making a D&D campaign and it's gonna use every goddamn one of these songs.
This is gonna take a while...
Piano overseer is the most underrated character in the entire game, his lore is epic, the boss fight is epic, everything about it is epic
One o the most amazing tuba boss themes I've heard so far!!! Propper introduction theme, cut scene music and one hell of a bone chilling drop to the boss gameplay theme! Loved every single bit of it!!!
honestly, after i defeated him (no easy feet) i immediatly recruited him both because i felt bad that his kingdom was gone, but also because his buffs are so good
Definitely one of the most insanely difficult and engaging battles in the game! Only topped by the Orchestral Amalgamation. A true test of skill.
The Piano overseer was SUCH a hard fight!!! I lost every time until I restarted the game and hit the tubas first.
Honestly I am scared of the pianissimo royal family. On my trip to the nothern violinlands I almost got killed by one of those spiderish nightmares of keyboard torment.
The pianos really are tragic.
They symbolized the perfect union between percussion and string.
This one character is particularly sad as we see they have modified themselves with techno magic to become a powerful keyboard.
Keyboards are rare but their ability to sample any sound makes them a huge threat.
Piano overseerer: oh maestro , so you want knowledge oh how to defeat the Tuba king, show ne your skills beat me in combat to show you are ready for this knowledge
Maestro: if i must, then have at thee
"Your puny block of wood with strings is no match for my electric synth! Prepare to perish alongside wit your friends!"
*Piano Overseer counterstrike*...He missed CZcams algorithm strikes again. *Critical hit*
Can we just talk how this music is just a chaotic presses of tiles but yet you hear them in an perfect pattern
I love how even though you were full buying him when the brass legion came he led them off long enough for you and his kids to escape but right before he could finish the final blow, the weight with he accumulated from all the keyboards fell on him instantly killing him! It was very sad and I really didn't want to play because o saw the good path and I thought I could help him like the violin legoinary.
ah, yes. pianos. ever since the desolation of their world in the en grande canyons, they've fled, scattered into many parts of the musical world. they might be few, but each and every one has a unique strength in either notes, tempo, pitch, or tone. but the overseer, he went insane after returning from the percussion mountains and seeing his homeland razed to the ground. it is optional to fight him. however, if you already visited the new piano settlement in the string plains, his wife and family are actually there, safe and sound. so you either tell him that they're alive (65% chance he'll believe you. if not, all of his stats will grow thrice than that of before) and he won't fight you or you don't tell him and you can get the item "percussive strings". an item that boosts both your string and percussion instruments in either agility and speed or strength and defense
Legendary seer of the 6th lost instrument kingdom of legend, the piano kingdom, a kingdom filled with the most powerful yet peaceful warriors around, it was thought was a myth as people could never really find it yet some brave adventures still told tales about it, but with no one being able to find the piano kingdom or bring back the piano people form it,but in the remote part of the instrument kingdoms, the piano overseer and the rest of the legendary piano kingdom residents live, powerful warriors with amazing power, how don’t want to get involved with the great musical wars, however when the final great musical war ended, the main protagonists soon manage to find the lost kingdom and find the overseer of the place...
Me: why do I hear scary boss music? All that is here is just Piano Man
Piano Man: [menacingly approaches]
Me: [nearly shits pants]
Player: "What Where Am i?
Piano Overseer: "Pretty Rare Encountering A Opponent!"
It’s so sad that he never got to leave his little studio
_After all that's been said and done, the fortress stands. Lord Piano, I am here to end your watch.._
Pianistaria, Overseer of Fallen Notes.. Last Guardian of Chordophone Theocracy. Cursed to wander the ruins of his own birthplace for centuries, defeating any instruments that dare desecrating His Holiness, Pipe Organ.
"While my keys are black and white, can you say the same about your decisions, Maestro? The path you've walked is stained with blood, and I'm here to clean it up."
I'd like to imagine the piano to be the final boss of the maestro's journey
One in a million to find in this stage
This could be like one of those optional horror kind of bosses under the ruins of the piano kingdom but its hard to get there and even harder to beat him
For the love of all gods that are worshipped by all the religions, someone *please* make an instrument themed game involving the tuba bosses, violin bosses, piano bosses, and potentially any drum bosses... and more.
You might know this by now, but it's happening. It's called Orchestra: The Brass Fate, they have a yt channel and a discord
@@frederickii1534 Just now found it, and the 16-bit art is unappealing as it suggests a 2D style (which I'm not usually so fond of in games as it screws with my perception usually)
" It was meant to be gone . " says tuba king, the second.
After the brass kingdom destroys the piano kingdom, only one overseer is left. This is the Piano Overseer, second boss in Insane mode. (i saw this one second). Having 16450 hitpoints, this boss is a formidable foe. You do 25% less damage to him. It has many fast attacks and one quick-time event. When the boss reaches half health, the quick-time event begins. You have to jump over the keys it throws at you, and get to the boss. Click the arrows to avoid the attacks. Failing the quick-timed event will cause you to lose 25% of your health, no matter armor. If you complete the quick-timed event, and reach the Overseer, you can perform one more quick-time event and that consists of you attacking the boss rapidly, lasting for 7 seconds. Every 3 clicks = one attack, so the weapon you are using while you performed the one before this one, is what you use. The cap of damage you can do here is 4350, during the event.
Damn, one of my favorite npc characters in game, too bad we have to kill him at the end of his quest line.
The greats of the Strings.
The most terrifying part isn’t the boss battle music, it’s that the Piano Overseer is using their two hands on one piano, but is holding another…
The bad path can be taken finishing the true ending, after that you will unlock an option to create a character from the tuba kingdom. And watching how the heavy tuba gunner breaks the piano kingdom's main gate to start an slaughter makes this fight worth it
Oversser Steinway, Forgotten Lorde of the Harpsichord.
It was a dark day when the Overseer lost his Queen, her keys battered and broken by the Violin Legionnaires. His only hope was the Brass Battalion, a mighty force of instruments in golden armor, but they left his kingdom to fall.
Left to rot alone by the "commoners" or otherwise known as the brass empire, the pianos, keyboards and all alike found their own civilization… "La Repubblica Delle chiavi" or the LRDC for short. Even tho the two rivals of hatred lasts for centuries and even more to come, they all have one common enemy that they are willing to fight against…. The player….
i picture this one as a twisted bio-mechanical boss in the dark, the two pianos do look like a sort of mouth
Piano overseer, one of the instrumentals, the longest musical, the last boss before you face the true controller of instrumentals
Great boss fight, it's mostly a lot of dodging before getting in those 3 strikes needed to dismantle the stage atop them
This deserves more fucking rec. This composition is actually amazing.
Really appreciated, altho if I have to be honest here I was in a rush to try uploading this asap and didn't play it perfectly as a result, you can clearly hear some rhythmic mistakes.
Ah, the third boss I have encountered in the recommended.
I wonder how many more await.
damn this shit gets even recommended
Pianister fosfreid, the sinister modular king
Oh look, a shoot the giant hands boss, how original. Loved the arena design though. Felt like the inside of a player piano.
I can't believe these guys have a chance to spawn near newbie areas like tuba town or brass bay. Even endgame players like bass clarinet mains struggle against these guys
The mighty keyholder
Man there is a fifth kingdom?
Didn't know that!
Hey this slaps
The overseer rules the remenats of the piano kingdom one of the only pianos left now he offered to ally with you to defeat the tuba empire but your manslaughtering of not only the tubas but the woodwinds and percussion too have brought you here to eliminate the kingdom that barely exists here is dialogue when the fight begins "why? I offered alliance to fight the tubas to restore the balance of the four realms but no I see now that you yourself want to rule as leader of the entire orchestra you may achieve this goal but your empire shall collapse I stand here to defy you passage to those who remain after your slaughter you've already eliminated the tubas woodwinds and percussion why us... please this is your last chance turn back I won't hold anything back" the fight begins at this point he has at maximum in phase one 1000 health 200 stamina 69 defense and 420 intelectual points his attacks consist of a normal strike with his sword that's concealed under his piano exterior as well as a tuba gun and weapons from all kingdoms though the sword looks different to the rest seemingly a piano design his attacks get more difficult and use every weapon from the weapons of the tuba infantry to the tuba royal guard head {also to know the tuba infantry is the weakest and most common enemy while the royal guard head is a great boss you encounter before the tuba lord} here is the dialogue that occurs when he is defeated "heh I see you have done it but I'm not giving up yet remenats of not just the piano kingdom but all the four realms lie behind me I won't give up I shall protect all that remains we shall grow back after your defeat and slaughter spree" phase two begins I'll explain phase two in the replys if this blows up [note the piano overseer along with secret boss a new key are only fightable on the tubacide route with a new key secretly being the heir to the piano throne he is only accessible by killing the piano overseer and conquering the piano realm tho while the overseer fight is difficult a new key is the most secret and hardest boss only slay the overseer if you want to fight a new key]
Puede ser reclutado si es derribado en medio de la pelea y tocas la melodia correcta en sus teclas
The piano overseer watches over their land that was destroyed by the Tuba Warriors. They had been all alone for so long, and became worried that the way of the piano would end with him. But alas, the maestro came, seeking to learn such ways. The overseer was glad, but they first had to see if the maestro had the capability to survive and pass on the secrets of the pianos. And as such, the fight begins.
We need a good quality version
I like to think he uses the two keyboards like sundowner, in the second phase he snaps them together to make giant shears
I'll probably make one of these soon
When his second phase hit I cried in fear
with all these comments relating to lore on these themes i just want there to be a game on this i'd honestly buy it
they were actually working on a few games, dont know how many survived
first the cello boss, violin boss, tuba boss , now the piano boss.
around 1:43 is like that riff from Slayer's Divine Intervention track (the song)
if you're doing an anti-brass run, as in you have zero brass followers and have a brass rating of "defiler" or lower it's possible to recruit him. otherwise he'll accuse you of being a spy. passing the charisma check only avoids the boss fight
I have no idea what key i pressed but i sure like it
In the frozen dlc his giant arms twist and break from ice but try to crush you as they approach rapidly.
This boss was harder then the violin boss
I mean endless attacks were pretty hard but a npc boss that you couldn't fight with gear and surprise attacks was harder
"hello traveller let me tell you the story of a young flute who went and tried to end the legion of brass and how he met a horriffic end when he encountered me" *boss fight starts*
i heard that there are two final fights of the genocide, one where you spare him, and one where you kill him. instead of king tuba II being the final boss he is if you spare him, stronger then any other boss in the game, exept for when you kill him. if you do so. you must fight last breath piano overseer where all his moves are extremely strong yet he has 1 hp. not just that but in both fights you slowly turn into the conductor which replaces all your moves with brutal, direct damage strikes.
