The animation looks so crisp. I'm so incredibly hype! After all these years the Dragon Ball anime is finally back. I don't care what its about, I'm just happy DRAGON BALL is freakin back, and it looks amazing.
It looks so good..just the trailer alone makes me think that the animation will be better than super.Never would have thought that will see DB with this high quality..makes me tear up remembering the old DB watching it as a kid.

All the haters don’t appreciate the amount of effort going into this. It’s going to be a limited series but this is essentially what the animation will look like going forward for future dragon ball anime.
It’s just a waste of time and money. Animation looks good, but story itself trash. Should’ve went with Super.

@@darbs1832 it is but seeing how a lot of criticism was given during the T.O.P. From the constant still frames to sloppy animations they want to rectify it which is why db heroes db super hero came out before returning to super. Because they want to see what works and what doesn’t with the budget they can manage. I think this will be a 12-24 episode series max. This is most likely a prequel to super seeing as we didn’t see Whis or Beerus in the trailer. Animation looks super clean and I can’t wait to see the fight scenes in this mini series
@@gears315 That's another misconception about the medium: Budget is rarely a constraint - especially for a company like Toei. The real issue is production schedules not giving teams enough time to finish. Also, this takes place in between buu saga and them meeting Whis/Beerus.
@@gears315the problem is scheduling not budget…jujutsu kaisen, Vinland Saga etc had way smaller budgets but good scheduling so they’re well animated
Just for clarification, this is a short series meant to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Dragon Ball; for those who are waiting for Super, it's gonna come back just not anytime soon due to letting the manga get ahead and multiple other reasons going on behind the scenes. This is also Toriyamas passion project so he's basically 100% on this project

That literally does not matter because Super’s anime is not tied to the manga at all, they are two different continuities, unlike the original Manga where the anime was just animated version of the manga’s story.
In addition, the series will catch up to the manga regardless of when the anime is published, if they don’t know their pacing. That is *not* at all the reason why the anime hasn’t come up yet.

Dragon Ball Super didn't have Manga back then, that's why every episode is a bomb especially in the Tournament of Power Arc. It was a better approach rather than having Manga readers who spoil every sht all the time, that way, no one knows what will happen. Look what happened to One Piece, everyone was waiting for G5, but the hype died down after that episode.

Finally somebody else brought up the heaven and hell aspects. I've always wanted more about the demon realm. It's a big part of the dragonball universe that's been left mostly untouched in the anime. I'm big on lore and I'm definitely super excited to get more in this.

Original Dragon Ball has some of the best moments and fights in the whole series. You should 100% watch it ASAP. It's incredible and a crucial part of the story. My favorite part of DB in terms of writing!

Apparently Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru is involved in the animation. For all of you who don't know who that is, he's the animator behind the movie Bardock: The Father of Goku, Trunks' 1st SSJ transformation scene (History of Trunks Special), the 1st Kamehameha scene (by Master Roshi), the Character Designer for SSJ4, Trunks VS Mecha Frieza, and others. Check out ForgottenRelics CZcams Video on his work. Its only a couple minutes. Also Fun Fact: Dragon Ball Daima takes place right after the Buu Saga, but before Goku meets Beerus and Whis. So it takes place between DBZ & Super.

There's no official time period of where it starts. All we know is that it's before the end of z
The move, turning everyone to kids kinda make sense, in terms of railing in new generation of audience, kinda smart. But it's a gamble thou, between making it appealing to younger and new audience and keeping the story, fights, animations interesting enough to long terms fans.
It's not even trying to aim at kids. There will be stakes. There will be dark moments. Dragon ball has always had kids involved in its demographic. I'm sure you were a kid when you were introduced to it

Damn, I can’t believe I have been following you guys for six years, that’s like six season equivalent for a television show.
It makes me feel as if Akira is attempting to create a whole new series "Young series" in order to reach the younger generation?...although MOST of the current young generation already got introduced to DB universe with Super.

One of the reason why people disliked GT was that despite all the character growth, Goku reverted back to stage 1 aka kid. And people were already complaining about how there's not enough of that in Super, like Goku became dumber for example.
But this? Now everyone is a kid now? Oh wow, lol XD. Though maybe it'll be better if it's for the anniversary reason and even more so if Toriyama will be more involved than GT and Super, idk, we'll just have to wait and see. Lol XD
Yea n also it nerfed goku as well cuz when he went ssj3 to fight his sons he still got whooped n it was stated or theorized that he couldn’t hold that much power in his kid form. Personally I liked the space adventure n all the different planets n politics they had going on it just wasn’t excuted that well but the idea of it was definitely a w.

Japanese kanji characters 大（"DAI"） means big or great and 魔（"MA"） means evil. I personally think it is [Dragon ball Great Evil]. It sounds exciting.
It's may not be a continuation of super but this is the first new dbz content in many years that is hand drawn and has low-key crazy looking animation. I doubt it's canon but I think we gotta let toriyama cook plus what's better than having db mixed with other goated animes 💪🏽

As a 12 year old, I hated what they did to Goku in GT by turning him into a kid. But as an adult, and knowing that Toriyama is more involved with this than with GT, I'm okay with it and I'm even excited to see what will happen. I'll give it a fair shot.
If they are able to keep up this animation throughout the entire series it will be the best animated series of Dragon Ball ever. However, the only way this level of animation could be upheld is if they changed up to a seasonal format. I really hope they'll drop about 24 episodes and go on a hiatus.

You know bro if y'all haven't seen the OG dragon Ball you should definitely react to it. I admit there are some things that shows its age but it's still fun show It's back when dragon Ball was an adventure show and not mostly in action show. It's very good.
and it better NOT take some 30 YEARS to get a ENGLISH DUB and yes the only English dub we first got was the Toonami one in like 2004 BUT the Japanese dub of Dragon ball original came out in 1984, 1989 in JAPAN for DBZ but DBZ's English dub first came out in 1995 as well.
But Not all of Dragon ball's original Japanese voice actors are still alive unlike the Toonami dub version.

Honestly I want a new season of Dragonball Super. Daima is one left off of being Daimao, like Piccolo Daimao. If I had a nickel for every time a wish turned Goku to a child, I’ll have 2, which isn’t a lot but weird it has happened twice
