"The fans have been waiting for part 3 for uh mountain" LMAO
When I see interviews with him it just makes me think that every time I've met him he's been super high
Will looks like he is enjoying being a musician
He says it's a lifestyle and it shouldn't be treated like a day-job.
In an interview he called it a vacation. When he actually goes on vacation, he calls it a vacation from a vacation
DGD is one of the hardest working most talented bands out there. And this was a really great interview.
This legit one of the better interviews I've seen with him
Axel Nielsen i agree, a lot of important questions. Rob is a decent interviewer. Good vid guys.
The journeys one was legit knowledge bomb
Will, you’re my guitar hero and the entire reason I play guitar. Thank you so much for being the musician and playing the music I would want to play if I was in your shoes. Never change brother.
I pertain to the faction that respects and loves all of dgd and associated acts. DGD is love. DGD is life.
FUCK no part 3 that sucks but I do agree that DGD is doing better than they ever have. Having Jonny back might damage them more than help them. They should at least make a song with Jonny, Kurt, and Tilian cause ooohh that would be lit.
rip afro.
Key to success: staying innovative😍😍😍!!! 🤘🏾😮
THERE IS DGD MATERIAL OUT THERE THAT I HAVENT HEARD AND HE JUST ACTS SO NONCHALANT ABOUT IT?!? We want.....NEED more singles
Khadiziah H there is at least 3 acceptance speech songs that are unreleased and that upsets me because honestly that's my all time favorite record.
Jacob Elswick What pains me is they released one of those single Pussy Vultures but wouldn’t release the others.
Check out secret band DGD no Tilian
I jam summertime gladness EVERY DAY OF MY LIFE! ITS SO DAMN FUNKY I LOVE IT.
Yuuuuuup!!!!
Will Swan you are fucking awesome you are hardcore at guitar and own your own label like badasss bro keep writing hits homie they are incredible Dance Gavin Dance
"Which you love doing covers don't you?"
"Its my first one"
*both awkwardly laugh"
PIXELATOR2634 i think that was sarcasm 🤨
Smooth interview, baby!
What a perfect interview.
Just cried lol heart destroyed after no downtown battle mountain 3
Every time he said they have 7 albums I wanted to cry. They have 8. 8 albums. 9 with this one they're gonna start recording in October.
Angie Lewcipurr 7 albums 1 ep and 1 compilation album this new album will be their ninth major released
5:39, dbm 3... with Pearson? and their current perfect lineup?
idea: they should bring back jonny for one song on a new album or a single and call the song (not the album) dbm 3
I found this band with 'We Own the Night,' but didn't really give them a chance, because, for what seems like an experimental post-hardcore band, I thought that there was too much "experimental" and not enough "post-hardcore" for my tastes. When Mothership came out, my entire social circle was all over it, even people who I didn't know were DGD fans. I still didn't give them a shot though, so I didn't get to participate in the post-release mania. It wasn't until recently that I became obsessed, and, after giving each and every album a thorough listen, I can confidently say they are a top 3 band for me right now. So glad to hear that they're going in to the studio October 14th.
know this is an old comment, but i had a similar, yet opposite experience of you. i found them with we own the night and on the run and i assumed they were one of those super generic, super hook focused metalcore bands, a la too close to touch or crown the empire. i didnt get the experimental aspect since i assumed from the get go they were shitty.
easily my favorite band of all time now, every album is near flawless
This is exactly what happened with my friends and I
RIP unreleased 2005 song :’( still jam to dat
now he straight up looks like steve pedulla
Okay so they kept saying 7 albums... Royal Ocean, DBM, Death Star, Happiness, DBM2, Acceptance Speech, Instant Gratification, TCS, Mothership... Instant Gratification was definitely 7 and Mothership was 9..? I understand if they don't want to count TCS, but.. Royal Ocean definitely counts? Unless they're not counting both Royal Ocean AND TCS..? Anyone else notice this?
Alex Vickrey I wouldn't say TCS counts, but they definitely have 8 albums under their belt, not 7
EP doesn't count as a full length album. WISRO is an EP. 7 albums and one EP
KuroT1k Even the TCS is full length, even if it didn't have any new songs. It was a nice spin on old songs.
pretty sure Mothership is number 8 why do you think theres an infinity sign on the album its a sideways 8
Royal Ocean is considered an EP not an album
Are you guys the same Punkvideosrock from back in the day?
So fucking happy he said no to DBM3 - apparently shunning the idea of it in Acceptance Speech wasn't enough that he has to outright say it here. They were steps forward in the past but they are so far beyond DBM that he's right, it would be going backwards now. I love DBM but people, seriously, move the fuck on. A band has to evolve. You release the same album 5 times, no one's going to listen to you anymore because it's nothing new.
I don't even smoke but I wanna light the fuck up with Will fuckin' Swan
_WILL_ *NO* _THE AFRO_
rip DBM3 :'(
Liamxd I could see dmb3 being a final farewell for the band whenever they decide to call it quits. Atleast that's my dream, featuring parts from all 3 different clean vocalists
Mud Kips dude I literally had the same fucking idea 😂😂
Anyone else think he had to fight really hard to say it's always easy to record when the lead singer isn't blackout drunk or smoking 2 packs a day? 😅
Acceptance Speech 2
Wait tho I thought mothership was their 8th album. acceptance speech being their 6th, instant gratification 7th, so mothership would be their 8th. I guess they aren't counting whatever I say is royal ocean...
yeah that was an EP
Im pretty sure everyone wants dmb3 lmao
Will Swan hates doing covers
Interviewer sucked, Dont ask the same questions. that Mountain pt.3 killed me haha
