Absolutely, dear. But if I were Debra, I'd take Marie by the ear and hurl her out of the house. Who is Marie to come storming in the house whenever she pleases, knowing she's keeping a stone-cold distance toward her arch nemesis, and who started the feud?

This whole fight between Marie and Debra is Marie's own fault, 100%. She will NEVER admit she's wrong because she's a complete narcissist. Even Frank knows that. When the whole family were meeting with the pastor in "The Angry Family" episode, Frank pointed out that Marie still can't deal with the fact that Debra married Ray. And Marie got angry at Frank because deep down inside she knows that he is right but she doesn't want to admit it
That’s true, because she wants them to breakup so she can have her precious baby boy Ray back.

Robert always had that holier-than-thou attitude like he always knew best. Yet it always back fired 😂
Although sometimes he follows Ray and Frank, and it also backfires for all of them, I think of him as more of the conscience of the group, but that's just my opinion
@@ysway1961 For the most part, Robert usually sides with his father and roots for something bad to happen to Ray. Robert is also jealous of his brother's successes, as well as his marriage to Debra, almost to the point of violating the 9th Commandment.
@charlespeakjr2168 Robert feels all that because his own family has treated him like that. They all root for Ray even though Ray is not the best person in the world. To Robert, it is funny to see Ray fall because the majority of times Ray deserves it

Marie is so disrespectful & holds no accountability in any things she does.
It’s because she’s older and therefore she thinks she outranks everyone else. The problem is that everyone has left her get away with it for so long it’s just second nature. And when they do try holding her accountable she just pulls that “I can’t believe your all ganging up on an elderly woman, who hasn’t been feeling well lately “, and then she has the fake limp.

Technically the selling point for the house was Debra wanting Marie’s help. Which was fine when Debra needed the help but now that the twins are older Marie is not as welcome anymore but the course has been set. How do you tell someone you don’t need them anymore. Talk about feeling used.

Thank God that this is only a sitcom. In the real world, this would have backfired royally. If I ever attempted to exploit a situation between my wife and my mother, I would never have to worry about a bent putter and the kitchen being closed.

Debra and Marie don’t really have the right to be mad. They knew exactly what they were doing. They didn’t do all those things because they wanted to but because of a petty rivalry. They also offered to do all those things without being asked.

I love this whole arc. It's great to see there be an argument that went on for more than 1 or 2 episodes. The only thing I wish was different was the incident that triggered it all. I wish they had done something where both Marie and Debra were to blame

@jonathancruz5932 You see, Jonathan. The whole thing started with Marie coming over to the Barone house, UNINVITED with her friends. Which has been the entire premise of the series. Raymond's family has no boundaries whatsoever.

What was the cause of the fight?
In the episode Mother's Day, it starts at Ray and Debra's house with Debra struggling to get the kids upstairs for a bath. Marie then barges in with her friends Hilda and Artie to show them the twins telling knock-knock jokes. Although Debra says she's trying to give the kids a bath, Marie disregards this and keeps insisting that the twin's tell their knock-knock jokes. Eventually Debra yells at Marie and then is able to get the kids upstairs. Marie was incensed and embarrassed by Debra's upfront tone, which proceeded to her saying in the end: "WELL!!!!!" It was Marie's doing in creating the feud between her and Debra, who accuses her daughter in law of being rude and gives her the silent treatment. GOD, I loathe that bitch Marie🤬
