- With giving myself the rule of having to select 3 players max from each country, I have created the best starting XI for every EURO 2024 group. You guys enjoyed the World Cup and EURO qualifier version, so I figured to bring it back. Let me know what you would change in the comments!

Arda huler over calhanoglu is wild. Calhanoglu has been one of the top 5 midfielders in europe this season and guler can barely get a game
Even tho i agree that Arda is not as good as Calhanoglu yet, Calhanoglu never really performs as well as he does in inter in the national team so i think picking arda is kinda reasonable

That makes a regular 4-2-3-1 as opposed to this wierd 3-2-3-4 that I only see in these best elevens but bever on the actual pitch
it’s a 3-4-1-2 which has been used by Bayer Leverkusen this season

I have never seen Sabitzer in a Wing back role, to be fair I don't know enough about the Polish guy
I just have personal dislike for these formations with 5 attackers (including attacking midfielders) and 3 defenders since they just don't happen
Even the most attacking back 3 systems employ at least 1 proper wing backs, who can defend like Grimaldo for Leverkusen

I like the inclusion of Eriksen. Never been a big fan of his and was briefly considering if Denmark was better off without him returning to the squad after the last Euros, but now I think he's being *criminally* underrated both by United and Denmark fans. Granted that both teams are not playing well and he's not up against a lot of competition for his position on either team, but when he brings his a-game very few can do what he does.
Agreed. Would like to see him play a more advanced role for Man Utd, as I think can do things Bruno Fernandes simply won't. However, won't be shocked to see him leave for Brentford or Ajax this season and perform there
@@frederikklitgaard209 Yeah he's getting too old and too inconsistent for top table PL football. I still don't get why he's so far down the hierarchy in the current squad. He's had a couple of stinkers but more often than not he stabilizes the midfield that is otherwise almost non existent. He did that as late as the Liverpool match, then he had 2 really great performances for Denmark and next week McTominay and Antony were picked over him in a match his name was written all over. It makes no sense to me. But I'm also probably biased. I'd love to see him in Brentford again though. Hope that happens this summer.

Kimmich in RB and (I am Hungarian) Varga Barnabás. He’s class at the moment.
He actually doesn't like to play in RB. He mainly plays as CDM.

@@balinthorvath1525 He was always a CM. But he is also a player who can play almost every position at the highest level if you are able to counter his weakness with neighbouring players. At RB you have to cover his lack of speed, at CM you have to cover his roaming.
But in the world and especially in germany and at Bayern we have more good CMs than good RBs.

I'm glad you used a rule that limits 3 players per country, makes it more interesting and gives visibility to some players who may end up having banger tournaments. Also of course it's not 11 England or Portugal or France players
