I ended up keeping them all. I think the patterned one will be nice for work and the black & white will be good for vacation. Ohh, it is a standing desk. I got it from Ergonofis, it's the Sway standing desk and it's amazing!

I don't find the extender drags down too much to be bothersome! But I also some jewelry pliers to adjust it and take out extra rings!
