    @15:44 wrong, it will not give the same effect. The play bars can display 1 colour at once. The Gradient & PLAY Gradient (the one you got at the back of your TV), can display different colours PER LED module, hence the name "gradient". You can get an entire Scene up, with all 5 colours with 1 gradient lightstrip, but for example, you would only get 1 of the 5 colours of a scene in 1 Play Bar.

    Thank you so much for the video. I love it. Quick question, so if you have a sound bar for the TV, does the sound bar still go into the TV or go into the sync box instead? I’m trying to set it up in a way that I can sync the hue lights with just music playing on my sound bar via Bluetooth on my iPhone without turning on the TV.. bit of a twister lol

      @@JRCElectrical ah thanks to answering ! I have another question! If you could help! So I’m looking at getting the Phillips Hue gradient 55” light strip for my 55” TV with the Phillips Hue Sync Box. I seen that the Hue Sync box power brick has 3 inputs for power ? But I also see that the gradient light strip comes with its own power brick to plug into an outlet. So I’m confused ? Does the light strip not connect to the sync box ? Please assist me with this as I’m wondering how many power outlets I’ll need.

  • @arthurfilemon6038
    @arthurfilemon6038 Před rokem +5

    @29:56 the angle is not ideal, at all and it won't make the light go "farther" or "throw the light back further". It will make the bottom sides look brighter than the top side, no matter the setting, due to the different proximity from the wall & the angle of the TV.
    Additionally, you may end up having issues when syncing because you have all your electronic devices near each other. The Zigbee channels on the bridge, Bluetooth from the tablet/phone to the sync box, and the sync'ing of the lights may suffer along the way due to all the interference caused by having all of them on top of each other. Not to speak about the heat from other devices. You work with electricals, you should know better.
