    Having Installed a 3D fused Linear Rail Full XYZ Kit on my CR-10 Smart Pro, The Kit it self is fine although there Pre Printed Parts are Horrendous! There Customer Support is Lacking & their Instructions are Severely outdated at best. I had to Redesign my own Limit Switch Blocks / Housings, Buy extra Mounting hardware for the Y Rails & the Bearings were not even oiled when delivered new. I strip the Bearings myself and grease them myself. Their Website needs an overhaul Badly. A lot of others have suffered the same circumstance, fortunately I have video recorded the whole installation process myself and am about to upload it for others to use as 3Dfused #3Dfused are not up to speed with their own designs and clearly releasing products still in need of R&D processing before going on sale to the Public. On top of that it took 3 months to arrive. Very Slow. Glad you had a Good Experience with their Kit but many others have not.

We have a whole new team as we have merged with a bigger company, we also moved from printed parts to all aluminum except the rail ends and limit bracket. Our support staff is standing by and you will see that not only is our order processing better our communication is better. Appreciate the feed back your welcome to reach out maybe we can get your video linked to the product page for reference!

      Considering the price of this kit... just buy a new printer instead lol... A bambulab A1 mini might be cheaper, a Bambulab A1 isn't that much more and you don't need to assemble it. I think the only reason to buy this kit is cause you enjoy the process of upgrading/tinkering with your printer. It's absolutely not worth it otherwise.

      Our kits are Definitely not 75$ worth of hardware, these are premium machined cnc parts with high quality hardware, can understand your thinking but for the cost you get a very high quality product that works without issues and gets major increases to benefit it. Our kits are priced fairly in comparison to other less quality options on the market.

Then i have 2 printers. Not 1, which is also can add up to speed especially i use one for modelling, prototyping while the another one is printing small series. Or whatever combination. I understand the "quality" but these 3d printers are goes obsolete in couple of years anyway.

    I have this kit for my 5+. I debated between this and the Mercury1 but decided machined parts would be superior. I placed my order was looking forward to it, but sadly I was disappointed with almost the entire experience. Not including the horrendous delay in shipment and zero communication from the company, the kit I received is sloppy. Pully and idler bearings started leaking in less than a month, anodizing was patchy, screws were missing from the sets, aluminum spacers were not cut consistently leaving 4-5 mm gaps between the pulleys and mounting plates causing the pulleys to not line up at all, and all three rail carriages had ball bearings binding up requiring a complete disassembly, cleaning, and relube. After i had to replace my 4th pulley and had an idler start leaking I got really tired of my printer being down, waiting on replacement parts, and disassembling over and over. My last straw was I started getting a metal on metal screeching noise any time the gantry would move at a certain speed. I tried troubleshooting with the company on discord, they were responsive, but I just had enough and gave before figuring it out. At the time 3D printing was just a hobby and the 5+ was my only printer, so it would be down for weeks till I would get around to working on it. I bought a Bambu X1C and put my Ender in the garage. Now I'm starting to sell custom prints and have a need for a bigger print bed so I'm dusting off the 5+ but i pretty much have to start over because I forgot everything I learned about Klilper. Since I'm starting over this time going with the Mercury1. I did order my kit over a year ago when the entire industry was struggling to resources. I'm sure my 3Dfused order was rushed and they did what they could and i hope they've corrected these issues, but i won't be ordering from them again. I am planning on using this kit again on a custom printer I'm thinking of building, basically a mini Ender 5, so it'll still be used.

  • @EsotericArctos
    @EsotericArctos Před 5 měsíci

    This would be the only reason to go for linear rails on the Ender 5. If you only do linear rails without the fulll core xy conversion, there is no difference in prints and you are just throwing money away.
    The cube design of the Ender 5 really lends itself well to conversion to core-xy

    I considered upgrading my Ender 5pro, but including tool head you end up with a machine as expensive as a P1P, but inferior in many ways. The frame geometry needs to be checked and rightened before even starting the assembly. Even extrusions aren’t a given for Creality.

    Several years ago I bought an E5Pro thanks to your OG videos on the printer, and s few massages back and forth. Now that I have long since stopped using it, and recently gotten a Bambu X1-Carbon, I'm thinking the Core X-Y conversion for the E5Pro might be an interesting exercise. I do have the Micro Swiss NG hotend for it and was thinking of also moving it to Klipper.
    Three questions:
    1. Have you tried this yet, or know of anyone who has tried such a combination?
    2. Your thoughts on the process and result were I to give it a go?
    3. Did you find the end result was worth the cost and effort, seeing as how it'll be around $300? (Wow, the upgrade coupon code still works, 5 months later!)
