  • Voters have gone to the polls for the second time in France in crucial parliamentary run-off elections that threaten political deadlock.
    While Marine Le Pen's far-right National Rally party is expected to win most votes, it faces falling short of a majority.
    This raises the prospect of a hung parliament, denting the authority of President Emmanuel Macron.

    Conservatives are being labelled far right, for holding a different point of view, for not wanting so much state control of everyday life, and for upholding their countries traditions and values? Remember civilisations have fallen before for excesses, undisciplined, wanton behaviour- conservative values are necessary for a functioning society!

      They are far-right because they run on an anti-immigrant, nativist policy. That defines them as far-right. Maybe learn something about politics before posting.

      Well functioning societies are very 20th century. We're all about heavily surveiling desperate atomized consumers in the 21st century.

    Macron will have to resign no matter what he says. France never has coalition government's. If the parties can form one with the R.N. Then it will go into care taker status and Macron is a lame duck regardless with any agendas he has becoming very limited. The R.N. Will be good for France .

    How many hours until polls close and numbers start coming through?

    • @alicemilne1444
      @alicemilne1444 Před 22 dny

      The polls close at 20:00 hours local time, which is when counting starts, so it will be a good 4 to 6 hours at least before any numbers start coming through.
