its easy to judge , when I watched the movie I realised there was no fault in actors acting skills, they were good, story was also very promising , however screenplay leaves many things to be desired for. this should have been a series not a movie , we know Vinay sapru and Radhika Rao directorial skills are amazing, the story focused on the lives of 3 cousins and the duration of movie is short to properly establish their characters and their growth through out the movie, each cousins story was good and as audience I wanted to divulge more in their story so again I say series would have been superhit the concept and bond of cousins shown is refreshing.

I learned it over the years and yes, with age my life also confirmed the same that when we least expect: we end up getting the best or much more than what our limited intelligence could make us imagine. I went for this movie with no expectations but the end result is pure bliss and I suppose a lot of therapy. If you are someone who has seen endless pain, suffering, the experience of unrequited love, trying to make the most when life has literally nothing to offer but leave you with a sense of loss and failure, where you weep for hours, days and years and may be then come to terms with life then you will resonate with this movie. This movie is not that sad and grey as the metaphor I have used. It has glamour, spice, a second half which brings your soul alive, some very stunning visuals, passion between characters which makes you look out for love, a huge boost of resilience, the way steroids work on your body, the same way this movie will create that survival instinct inside you. I do not know why I seem to love this movie so much, is it really that soulful, a non-stop emotional journey thanks to the crisp editing and seamless screenplay (especially in the second half) or is it my emotional dysfunctionality that seems to be craving for this movie? We either see our own emotional journey through the characters we get to see on celluloid or we crave for those experiences which are shown to us. Blessed be.

To each his own but I am not talking about cravings for trauma, I was referring to the cravings of the heart or emotions. Whether one likes it or not, relationships will always bring pain even if they are not the literal toxic ones and in this never-ending drama of pain, pleasure and love; we seek the essence of our life or existence. This may not apply to a lot and I agree that I could be wrong over here. Even when someone ages and is unable to eat palatable food, the craving for sumptuous food does not stop and the same is with love, when people grow old, the soul within is still craving for a soul connect or a partner (this may not be for everyone). I am not good with time but there was a movie named Laila Majnu which was directed by Imtiaz Ali’s brother, it was a stunning emotional journey and the characters really played their part well but in spite of it being a stunning screenplay, the movie was not that successful (I hope I am wrong over here) and I do not know why such hidden gems stay hidden. Anyway Sir, you can let this pass and may be let a lot more as well pass. However, I would prefer to eat the spiciest biryani so that when I look back, I have no regrets of not doing something which was adventurous and something that brought a sense of thrill within my soul, the same is with emotions, since today is the prosperous occasion of Dasshera, when the Dark goddess becomes victorious over her enemies. I can only pray and wish (for myself, don’t worry I am not praying anything for you Sir) that the cycle of pain, pleasure and love should be never ending for me and let me experience the same for years to come and with as many different souls as possible, when one soul leaves another should enters and may my goddess bless me with more than what my heart can take, it should also be with someone who is equally worthy of the pain and price my soul ends up paying. I am extremely greedy when it comes to emotions and people hence this affinity towards these experiences, forgive me for my indulgence. Happy Dasshera Sir!
