- This week's video we'll be metal detecting a beautiful Victorian home that marks the entrance of an historic old town measuring only one square mile! This quaint little town was founded way back in 1682 and has a ton of colonial history including the first free public school in the state, a mansion built by a former abdicated King of Spain, a city that was occupied by British forces three times during the revolution, and it just goes on and on.
We got access to metal detecting this old property along with property owners and member of the local Historical Society to help shape a picture of everyday life from centuries ago.

Wishing a big Happy birthday to Sean! What a fun adventure so far with still a second part to come! We’re all so incredibly appreciative that you opened your home to us!
That is so cool for your house to be featured on the show and it looks like you’ve got lots of very treasure… Fun!
To me, this is the hobby at it's best. Homeowners, neighbors, the crew all having fun and adventure all at the same time. Fun video!
Beautiful home and great finds!!

The historical intro was the BEST intro EVER. Please keep doing that kind of thing.
My favorite video of the year! What nice people you encountered on this hunt. The tombstone was incredibly interesting and so cool the homeowners did some research... best part of the hobby by far!

Angela and her lovely tombstone!! Warms my heart to know I'm not the only one with a tombstone at my house :)

Bordentown NJ, beautiful, quiet, small towns on the Delaware River. 😊
You picked a great house in Bordentown, New Jersey… We’re going to go visit!
Great permission QHrs! Loved the story of the stone, so sad and interesting, kudos to the homeowner for researching her and bringing her and her family to life if just for a little while.
Outstanding video gentlemen and ladies thank you for sharing this six stars
Rich's fresh nickname, "Silver Baron"
What a great day for metal detecting especially finding coins and relics and seeing the property owners getting involved in the hunt too.

Very cool history, lots of people, too! ❤️❤️❤️
I just got my first metal detector and made my first discoveries yesterday! It's so fun!
Great finds, and to me as a military buff, the button id the 'star of the show'! Looking forward to seeing Dilek, I have met her twice, once in the UK at Detectival and at a an event in Toronto a year after. She is lovely, but I am sure you know that?
Another great part 1 can't wait for part 2!
Love your hunts always interesting, thankyou for another great hunt 😊😊😊
Crowded house! Great people, good humour, great fun. It seemed like the whole neighbourhood was there for the hunt. Excellent stuff! Really looking forward to the next visit there! Cheers!
Jason said have you ever seen this coin, she said yeah I lost it this morning lol😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

I haven't hunted in several years but these vids are giving me the itch.

That was cool the way so many people from the neighborhood came by to watch. Perfect networking! Overall, a very nice bunch of finds, of course Rich dominated the silver! Again I find myself already looking forward to the next couple of vids!

What a great house to detect guys and very cool history and family ties with the home and all the information on the gravestone! Wicked awesome!!
The military button you found is patern #00079. A U. S. Navy button done in many different metals including: gold, silver, nickel, chrome, gunmetal and a few others. 😅
Cool video guys. Lots of great "finds" Looking forward for next week. Take Care.
Sound to see the gentleman owner swing and ding on some finds and his good lady wife enjoying the hunt, too. That made it for me. Cheers y'all: From me on t'other side of Big Pond.
Love it! I can’t wait to visit. Love you Sean and Angela :) this is super cool
What a great hunt with everyone involved. Your videos should be longer!..I watch the Thursday nite shenanigans (the next day due to work).and these hunts should be as long. Tks. Mike Benjamin.
Do you even metal detect? You know how long they would have to hunt to have hour long videos? Give these guys a break. It's got out lol
Jason said "AND A BARBER IS THE LEAST PERSON RICH USUALLY SEES "LOL😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
1952, my birth year!😊
Great spill Rich
Way to go Rich on the silvers
You guys have so much fun, and it's contagious. I'd love to have a group like this. Needless to say, I'm sure you guys know how lucky you are. ☮
Jason,
I used to go to Bordentown to visit your friends at the reformatory:)
Actually, I always found it to be really interesting.
Maybe someday you could Detect around Burlington City where Ben Franklin rested after
travelling from New York and then taking a boat to Philly.
In 1723 nd 1728, as a young man he visited the docks and saw boats
which regularly travelled to and from Philadelphia.
Who knows what's hiding there.
Cheers,
Rik Spector
Rich said here's a little wheat penny,Jason said looks like average size to me,lol😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
This is why I wished I got into metal detecting before I moved from New Jersey. I bet there were some old things in my childhood yard.
Send us the address and we’ll go find out.😀
@@dogtagdoug6751 it was 333 Aldrich Rd, Howell NJ. Don't be surprised if you find tons of buried toy cars. 😅 It'd be awesome if the new owners really let you search it. Not the biggest property, but decent size for the area.
What a great day y'all had it was real exciting to see the faces smile and try to guess what things were the tombstone really got very touching to me sad that the baby died at Young I'm ready for the next episode and I can't wait
Thanks for another great video, I never miss one!!!

I see Doug is back on light spray duty. . .

First coin score - with the double score!
You was in my neck of the woods Bordentown has a lot of history to it we do have a lot of historical sites and houses in the area I would of went down there to see you guys
Great video. How do you decide if you keep the finds or the homeowner does? Do you discuss that ahead of time?
Would be nice to get to dig at the Bonaparte house.
Very nice finds
Great. Hunt. Many thanks
I love me some American history. Thanks guys.
Great job to everyone on your finds. Jason, thanks for the lead for the grey ghost pouch.
Philip Spencer, Ohio
I think it’s about $45 on Amazon
I live on the Hilltop. I have collected broken pottery from my yard for 34 years. Some come from the 1700's and early 1800's. I've found a pipe and other items that heave up during the winter. Less and less now a day.
Great Job Diggers
That CLAUD DIME looked like Rich goot a hold of it
Brooke is shovel on it
@@scottcurrie7589 that's awesome, can't wait till Thursday show

Who's this Florida Lee guy? 😝
Hello Quarter Hoarder,Dog Tag Doug,Charlie ,Matt Rich and Lynn
Hi Gregory!
Well, since you brought an actual marine to the signal corps today, I feel obligated to help Doug with his diddy: Doug's song - Revised -
If my gum is by Mazuma
I am on your property
I'll swing through all the cattle
I'll get down on bended knee
There is something here for everyone
It's a plug for all to see
Dog Tag Doug has stolen valor
Cause he can't sing harmony
I will enter every hamlet
Read a book or two or three
While I'm looking for a signal
Sometimes I have to pee
If I say "Gitchagooma"
It is close enough for me
I'm not Gordon Lightfoot
But I know my history
--------------------------
🙂
that picture frame is pretty neat to the one I found at a 1820's property in Penfield NY.
@QuarterHoarder111 you are a scammer I'm reporting you.
👋❤️
Well she gets to hold it lol
Doug and I both born in 1950 and The Beaver went to the High School down the street from my HS.
@QuarterHoarder111 BS
Jason, when was this video made? It is 100 degrees here in Iowa, you guys have coats on.Thankyou for the video.😊
This video was made about 2 months ago
@@dogtagdoug6751 Hi Doug.Good to hear from you.I hope you had a nice day today.I thought something was weird there.Thankyou for the video.Your friend Harry Bond Waterloo, Iowa.
Rich stacking silver coins!
Think I could join you on a hunt or 2. Thanks
I've been detecting about 5 years. I have a Ace 400 and a At Max. What should I get next?
7th like, good afternoon, gentlemen
20:47 - not totally accurate about soil impact on precious metal coins, Jason. Silver can and definitely does tarnish depending on the mineral content in the ground while gold (and likely platinum) is impervious to any environmental impacts.
I meant it in respect the relatively sandy soil of properties in the area we detect. In heavy mineralized soil silver can tarnish heavier and if submerged in salt water silver can even crust over.
Anyone know when the live with Nokta will be this week? I've been listening but haven't heard a day and time it's supposed to be?
Not this Thursday, but next
How many more permissions did that one get you?👊
OJ was in Naked Gun, not Airplane. Wish AI could remove him from the film so we could watch it again.
Doug dug 3 and a half hours for that 💍, 😂😅😮😢😮😅😂😂😂
On your legend, what firmware are all of you using?
When this video was made we were probably on version 1.13, but on version 1.15 now.
Master Blaster runs Border Towne, err Bartertown.
Actually back in the day, young kids could be buried right at the house
Hot Wheels FLAT OUT 442.
Bordentown is such an old historic area. It's a sleeper when people think of historic villages. Any permission around there is a good permission.
I know you can date the Navy button but I think it's pre WWI. I dug the same button but it has an iron back that they made for a short perion of time around WWI so I think that predates it. I would think if it was after that it would still have some gold gilding left.
