It’s been a while since I’ve been on a long ride. And so when the boys decided to do a monsoon ride to Kanur in North Kerala, I quickly cleared my calendar to hop on the Fat Boy. I must admit I was nervous at first, since I’ve not done a day long ride in over a year, but then like they say, “once you’re on the motorcycle all worries disappear.” Hop on for the ride, hope you enjoy part one of this Kannur adventure.

The otherwise beautiful route from CR patna towards Coorg, is marred by too many speed breakers ( Unmarked ) & bad patches.. Tnx for the Vlog & ride safe.

Excellent, we are gonna be a part of your long moto Vlog plus some amazing intermissions ( food ) in between . Despite the inconvenience in luggage loading on your FB , you always find a way out . Fantastic 5 on a wonderful journey. I didn’t see the Insta 360 yet it was a wholesome experience. Pit stop time at Mayura and the F5 enjoying their South Indian BF . Now we have the Insta 360 on . Simply awesome “virtual” driving view . Oh wonderful to see you folks have your rain gear on . Very professional. So sweet of a regular person to ask you about the price or your Bike 🚴. Woohoo that 360 degree was awesome. What a wonderful ride ! Pit stop time - just a 3 minutes differential. Back to rain gear . Oh wow so you are much ahead of your buddies . So cool to interact with your fans 👍👍 Route is scenic but the roads are a concern . Yet your FB abs you managed well ! The Almighty helps them who surrenders to them . This part of the ride is fabulous. Time for a pit stop and time to savour some snacks . This was an excellent moto Vlog and thoroughly enjoyed every second of it . Wow what an episode loved every bit of it. Loved the expression of the uncle on a tvs at the petrol bunk asking you about the price of the fat boy. You are a popular that you have fans and subscribers all over and these boys came out of nowhere and helped you pass your time and also showed you you the way ahead. The rain playing hide and seek with you guys. The road was scenic with some rough patches. Waiting to watch the next episode now wishing you good luck for this trip.

Nice ride! Why dont you guys take a 4 wheeler behind as a backup vehicle and dump all your luggage in it with a driver. Wouldnt that help in such rides?

Hi again Kripal. I'm here this time to talk about the convenience of Comms Systems😅.
I have a Cardo Packtalk Edge and I think it would greatly help especially when used within a group of riders as it would help with taking fewer stops since you wouldn't really need to stop to communicate and quick communications like the time your friends missed the turn can be made within a 1km range. Also it seamlessly transitions between music and comms between riders.
The Edge has a super sturdy build, 100% waterproof, JBL sound system, super convenient and I really couldn't recommend it more.
I see that you're someone who listens to music with the earplugs on, but this makes it all the more convenient with voice commands to call, change tracks, start/stop music etc etc. They definitely don't have the same quality of sound as an earplug but that's a trade off for the convenience and I'm sure you'd get used to it.
The Edge can also connect with other brands like Sena through Mesh technology. Have a look at it and I think you'd really find it helpful.
I hear you, Odin, pun unintended. 😃 Tbh, I'm not a fan of these systems as I feel the constant communication takes away from the meditative aspect of the riding experience. I used to have a sena earlier, and when it conked off, I didn't miss it much. Also, since I'm vlogging, I will usually be off the comms network. As for music, although I appreciate it, I find myself listening to it less and less. In the entire Kannur ride, I didn't listen to music once. Having said all this, I may succumb to my group's request and get a sena with mesh since most of them are on it. The sole cardo in the group was unable to connect with the others.

Makes sense. Just randomly sharing info here that I'm sure you'd already be aware of cause you're easily my favourite 'motovlogger' if I may call you that even though I'm more of an ADV rider.
Anyways, the Sena is a brilliant product as well but the only problem is they claim the system to be water resistant whereas the Cardo is completely waterproof. Tested it myself when I fell into a stream once😂.
Also like you rightly pointed out, if your group uses Sena predominantly that's a better choice because at the end of the day it's a matter of convenience more than anything else.
PS: I kinda recall your Sena from the "Gourmet Biker" vlogs😁

Nayara was previously Essar . Its way better than Indian oil or Bharat petroleum. I always fill petrol at Nayara.

@@KripalAmannaVlogs Most of the Indian oil and bharath petrol bunks in Bengaluru scam petrol ..it's always less quantity always.. for example - 1 litre Andre full 1 litre haakirolla... I too have experienced it few Times.. then shifted to shell but felt shell lil costlier, hence shifted to Nayara which is very good...

Disadvantage is speed breakers no signage boards but the PLUS point you get to see the scenic beauty and aroma of the fields when you are driving thru the state highways and as you said need to be careful 🙂
