Clear, concise and to the point.
Can't believe I went so long playing guitar and not knowing this. Thanks
Me too
Traditionally the bottom tone knob is for the middle pickup only and the middle tone is for neck only. With the exception of a few fairly recent models, if you wanted a tone control on the bridge you had to mod the circuit. Would have been helpful to mention that. Nice playing!
Yeah exactly.. Knob is for middle and neck pickup only.

A good, basic overview/rundown video like this is really helpful for beginners, and there's surprisingly few, or surprisingly few well done ones.
Thank you so much for this. Not many people CLEARLY explains this!!!
Thank you so much. I am a beginner on electric so I was a little lost until this video.
This is exactly the video I’m asking for for days , can you please also make a tutorial on how to get the tone you want from just a strat and a Blackstar amp ?
My advice would be to play with the knobs until you find something you like, everybody has a different preference, there is no ‘correct’ way to dial in your tone, that is unless you’re trying to sound like someone else but if that’s the case you can probably find their EQ settings online. Keep in mind what works for you in your bedroom/studio/practicing probably isn’t going to work in an open live setting or with other musicians (bass, drums, etc.) So when you start playing with others you may need to tweak your sound a little bit. Either way, don’t be afraid to turn those knobs.. unless it’s the volume knob, then be very cautious 😂 you’d be surprised how big of difference 2/3 can be on some amps in volume. Good Luck! And rock on.
@@Iheartdgd thank you

Finally! Someone made it make sense. Thank you!
Yes, really simple, clear explanation.
Glad you liked it
straight to the point. Thanks
Nice job!!
This is a great video!
Thank u , Now I understand when yo use when at what is what😇✨✨✨
Not all strats have that tone wiring. I had to mod mine so my bridge pickup would be connected to the tone knob.
Yeah I always thought that the bottom tone knob was for the middle pickup alone, but he says its for the middle and bridge together. I dunno.
For a a self taught lefty only playing acoustic most of my life, this is the perfect way for me to learn the 101 Electric Guitar.
Bought myself an electric BLW Prima LH for my birthday this year and thank you for the beautiful yet simple knowledge sharing!
