    There's a brief brief glimpse at 50m27s of a grpc message, open in wireshark, but the video does not drill into things like the HTTP2 headers or the protocol buffers. Most of the time is spent downloading tools & compiling examples.

    Can you give an estimate for how long you think it'll take to learn until you're able to build an API using gRPC? In hours.

    • @AbhishekPathak21
      @AbhishekPathak21 Před 4 lety

      The integration of gRPC can be time taking and lot of debugging at first, but once you get a hang of it, it works smoothly. So, in total, including ProtoBuf, it should take you less than 4 hours to get started.

    I am tempted to purchase your course but I build my apps mainly in Scala/akka and I am not sure it is supported. Is this correct? Additionally, Akka is pretty fast by itself, especially if one uses Kryo serializers. What are the advantages of this architecture then? Thanks
