I'm the silent dude, I *want* to interact with people but I also don't want to be that guy whos too quiet to hear like at all, the guy that's too loud, or just in general annoying. So in turn I just keep my mouth shut, solves my issue of constant social anxiety.

As an adult myself, I'm normally very quiet in public servers, especially if people are rude. But if the people I play with are chill, I'll gladly talk to them. Toxic people don't deserve the attention.

I’ve recently started playing rec room on the PS5. The first time I entered the rec centre there was a man spinning singing Never Gonna Give You Up whilst 15 men hum satanic rituals surrounding him. I proceeded to fall in love with this game

You missed the Paintball teleporters. Personally one myself. It's just really fun to watch people loose their cool then join the dark side once they realize that teleporting is superior.
people just dont know how much skill it needs to teleport perfectly
tbh i prefer playing against tpers. their tp circle makes them an easy target when they teleport, as long as it is not a trick, and as long as i can see them.
i perfer the walking is just too good to teleporting in my opinion, like why would u teleport and wait 2 sec for teleporting again when you can walk from point A to B so easily

I love seeing the toxic kids in this game, I've experienced so much toxicity that it's become hilarious hearing an 8 year old yell at me about his personal life because I'm teleporting.

Hey a trick for any VR users when you need to talk to someone irl for a bit, hold the point button (the one that pulls up your facial expressions menu), then go down, and on the right is a speaker symbol. As long as you have your finger on that you’ll be temporarily muted.

In old times, you could cover your mouth and it would mute you, i used it a lot before it got removed

Most of these stereotypes are nearly 50% of why I left Rec Room almost for good. Yes, I found some really nice people who I liked to hang out with , but overtime I kept,on getting unlucky and was meeting more toxic idiots. Some of them were probably toxic 4 year olds, to be honest. The other half of why I nearly left Rec Room was because of my decently short temper and jealousy. I'd hear one of my friends tell me "Hey, kitten!I just got gifted the royal cape and crown from someone!". I'd be happy for them on the outside, but in my head my jealousy would be off the charts. I can't normally get tokens easily, so that just makes me mad about Rec Room's outrageous prices. I don't know why I'm sharing this, but its probably because I'm bored and have nothing to do.

Today, I met one of the best people of a rec room. We were talking about things that I personally would not like to say here, but he gave me an entire talk. He honestly made me felt like the most confident person ever-

Without fail in the reccenter, every time I’m hearing slurs , people harassing people with sexual unfunny jokes , and mic blasters. As I’ve encountered all and I, while irritated , will cherish the guy with the vine boom sound board as he left me alone when he realized I was kinda stressed , though I was just tired and sighing he still left , stay humble king if you see this

I just started playing rec room 2 days ago and I'm 100% the type of person to just walk up to someone and friend them and also always muted lmao. I just wanna find some friends so I can enjoy this game for many many months or even years to come and maybe even start talking if I manage to overcome my anxiety someday

When you talked about four years olds and gambling, it reminded me about how last night I was playing a VR game called blaston and placing huge bets on all my fights. Because they were literal toddlers, I beat them all. And when they complained, I simply said that it was their choice to accept to my bet.
I haven’t played for awhile, but I met these people who helped other players. I followed that route, and I’d like to call them the Wandering Helper

I think the junior account feature with the mic definitely helps, even though not all 12 and under players tell truth about age.

Man I love rec room, the only people I hate is toxic people who say mean things and whenever they try to talk crap about me I would always come up with the greatest comeback that would absolutely violate them. In the end I would always win against them and gain peace once again.

I have found all these types of players within the first couple weeks of starting out and let's say... It was an experience lol
I've ran in to so many toxic children and adults they destroyed my self esteem but I deal with it and I think it's funny to see people rage
i only really use my mic if i have been hanging around with someone for long enough. but if a random asks me to talk i just say that i dropped the headset and no the mic is broken and that works. because of that im now really good at typing on the in-game keyboard
Here’s one I made up “the grenadier” you can always find them in games where there not many guns and they usually have a grenade on both their hips, their back and in both of their hands. They always grenade spam in paintball and laser tag and usually just laugh or be silent.

Well there were certain rich players, the low levels who get a ton of tokens from playing a lot of rros and gets a ton of tokens, also leveling up. There was one person who gifted a guy a whole astronaut suit in front of my eyes, but that was 6 months ago
