Quickie Car Review New For 2017 Hot Wheels ROLLER TOASTER of the LEGENDS OF SPEED series

The Roller Toaster is a Hot Wheels original model designed by Ryu Asada. Ryu tells in the All Access blog on the Hot Wheels CZcams Channel that he got the idea for this model when thinking about his next design and he had the 24 Hours of Lemons in his mind (a play on the 24 Hours of Le Mans race). He imagined race car drivers getting their car from the junkyard and adding wings and pigtails, and he thought about something he would like to see on a car. He went for a coffee and saw a toaster. He thought: Hmm, what if I put the wheels on a toaster? That is how the Roller Toaster came to life. This model also incorporates a function: when pressing the wing, the bread drops down in the toaster; when releasing the wing, the 'toasted' bread pops up.

A 24-hour endurance race brings out the ultimate performance cars, and a few crazy ones, too. This comedic custom van slices up the track burning rubber-and the toast! A lever makes the toast go up and down; turn the headlights to adjust the "doneness" of the toast.

Hot Wheels is a brand of 1:64, 1:43, 1:18 and 1:50 scale die-cast toy cars introduced by American toy maker Mattel in 1968. It was the primary competitor of Matchbox until 1997 when Mattel bought Tyco Toys, then-owner of Matchbox. Many automobile manufacturers have licensed Hot Wheels to make scale models of their cars, allowing the use of original design blueprints and detailing. Although Hot Wheels were originally intended for children and young adults, they have become popular with adult collectors, for whom limited edition models are now made available.
2016 lineup was similar to 2015 and 2014 in terms of segments, and the design of the card was overhauled. Some car names were TBD (To Be Done) or 2016 (coming Soon). They're now divided into 30 segments with their corresponding segments and their icons printed on the card. Some of them include: HW Showroom, BMW (100th anniversary of BMW), HW Screen Time (Cars and characters seen on TV, Video Games, and movies), and HW Snow Stormers. New models include: Cruise Bruiser, Side Ripper, and Grass Chomper, '16 Acura NSX, while other models first see their release in the mainline series, such as the '52 Hudson Hornet.
