What I am most grateful for is that Melodifestivalen and Eurovision are giving her the platform she deserves for her amazing music and overall work. She's so talented and hard-working and seems like such an amazing person. Nothing topping Hold Me Closer for me, not ever since it was first performed, still jaw-dropping for me, and I am still feeling it super deeply every time I listen to it. And I am saying that while the rest of my top 4 is made of songs that could have been my personal contest winners another year. Lycka till, hoppas Sverige vinner :)

I am a huge Melfest fan. For the past few years, I couldn't place Sweden in my top 5 and possibly a winner but Cornelia changed my mind. This song is so raw that Sweden is actually sending something so authentic in a while! I don't care if people keep saying Sweden is overrated. I hear this being called overreated and being compared to "Shallow" but there's something about this song that rlly comnects to me fsr. I personally love this song and it's my 10 points (12 to Spain).

Shallow is a love song. This is a heartbreak/breakup song. I don't see the comparison at all. Cornelia's expression of vulnerability is unlike any common pop song.
It does sound a bit like Shallow on the chorus but considering how much music has been composed since the dawn of humanity it's nearly impossible to find a song that is completely original and sounds like nothing else. Many pop songs follow the 4 chord structure so many of them will sound similar. People need to chill.
