    For every subscriber you lose by showing the real you, you'll gain 3-4- for being honest. Keep doing what you've doing. Some people are only happy if they're complaining about something.

I don't think you need to apologize to your viewers for your content, if they don't like something then they can turn it off! You are naturally beautiful both outside and in and your positivity brightens or our days. My kids and I (16, 14, 11) love watching you guys, thank you so much for sharing your lives and Disney and dog love with us, we appreciate you both!

    Rice: My rice used to come out like yours. I learned that for each cup of rice you use two cups of water. Now for brown rice it would be 2 cups and a half. Because brown rice takes a little more. Now what I do I leave on low heat, I do not open it until approx 25-30 min. Turn off the heat and leave it open.

(And you'll have the best life that you've always wanted! - a toddler with one on the way, clearer skin, the love of your life by your side, so many awesome trips and cruises, and almost 1 million followers!) Yes my dear, it will all be yours... So for now, just keep being you and keep being real and honest... We will be here 💜

    Jen.. You don't have to rinse the rice. If you're making regular rice (like long grain/white) use 1 cup of rice with 2 cups of water. For brown rice you can do 1 cup of rice for 1 1/2 or 1 1/4 cup of water. I prefer 1 1/2. . Make sure you set the water to boil 1st then, add the rice (that's key because you don't want the rice to sit in the water too long or it becomes more mushy.) Then wait for it to simmer until almost all the water evaporates. As soon as it evaporates, lower the temp to low and cover it. Hope it works out for you!!

  • @ryguyfromny
    @ryguyfromny Před 8 lety

    You can clean the rice if you'd like. The rice is dirty, some people like to keep it on though. When you clean it, you'll see some the water become very brown and grainy(after you mix it with your hand.)
    In regards to the "mush." That's simply because there's too much water in the rice. You have to adjust accordingly: if you want it a bit harder, less water. If you want it more mushy, more water!

  • @lorenaarias1952

    Jenn, no worries, brown rice always come out a bit mushy. Also, rinsing rice will only help keep it from sticking together. Try sauteeing your rice with a little olive oil before adding the liquid.

  • @AbiLewisMusic

    We rinse off the rice once it's cooked to wash off all the starch. You can see it washing away, it looks like milk depending on how much starch was in the rice

  • @directinggigi
    @directinggigi Před 8 lety

    if you put the rice in a pan with some butter (or margarine or evoo) and saute it a little, until it is golden brown, it'll help with the mush factor.

  • @cadydelacruz6391
    @cadydelacruz6391 Před 8 lety

    Yes there is something that rice distributors put on the rice (so that the rice doesn't clump in the bag) that can be cooked or rinsed off

    What I do with Rice is add the same amount of water as the rice. So if I have to cups of rice, I'll add two cups of water. I add a pinch of salt and a dash of corn oil, I'm not sure why my mom taught me that. I do cook it in a rice cooker idk if that makes a difference. But don't rinse the rice! You're also rinsing off some of the nutrients that rice brings. Just some tips :3

  • @janetovens756

    unless its the boil in the bag type rice, you should rinse rice first, it gets rid of the starch which prevents it from going nice and dry and fluffy when cooked.

    Luggage: I have this exact luggage in a Turquoise color... And on our 2nd trip to WDW we used it for the first time, well the little pockets on the luggage came back torn off. The reason why is because baggage handlers grab it and from those pockets and trow them.

    Normally here in my house we put the rice in a bowl and fill it with water leave t there for a couple of minutes and then we get the water out (just to rinse it out) and then we get to cooking and it does;'t get mushy or sticky or anything like that. Idk try different methods till you find one that suits you :)
    Oh and another thing, don't apologize for the acne thing i mean a lot and I mean a LOT of people have it and it shouldn't be something that they get mad or disgusted at? that's just immature to be honest lol. The tips help. Keep being you Trackers :) Love watching!

    The way we keep our luggage recognizable is by using Minions Duct Tape and wrapping it around the handles. It's pretty easy to spot! The unfortunate part though is that our luggage is outdated since it doesn't have the fancy swivel-where-ever-you-want four wheels. - And no worries with the spots! We all get them at some point, it's just a matter of how badly. You still look amazing anyways. c:

    I love the idea of enchilada bakes, but every time I make it it comes out waaaaayyy too mushy :( I do make mine in a different way though. I layer tortillas (corn), then chicken, then cheese, any extra fillings and so on. It tastes really good but I'm one of those people with a texture issue so if something is too mushy I won't like it. It stinks but I was just never able to shake it from childhood.
