Why the Case for Messiah? We explain the reason for creating this new apologetic series.

  • In Acts 17:11, Luke tells about Jewish people returning to the Jewish Scriptures to check and see whether Paul's proclamation about Jesus was correct. This model provides the impetus for our new series. Although there are many voices claiming that the New Testament has manipulated and abused the Hebrew Bible, it has been our experience that the more carefully we study the Bible of Jesus and apostles, the more reasons will we find to be convinced that the New Testament's testimony about Jesus is true.

Just wanted you to know that your efforts ARE indeed strengthening the body. I run a small men's that meets once a week. I'm often pulling down your videos into my video editor, breaking them into 1 to 3 min chunks, and walking through your messages with our group. We desire that you would know how much this information encourages us and does indeed help us to understand the OT on a deeper level. (We've also been looking at the "anti-missionaries," like Tovia, to hear their criticisms.) Bottom line, if my group is doing this... I'm sure that there are more! Please remember what I know you know... God can use you in mysterious ways much beyond your ability to plan. And He has and is. You are on my prayer list brothers!

Love your channel here, I have been broken, saved and blessed by the God of Israel.
I have been reading the bible annually for a few years now anyway and the first time I was able to read it chronologically, everything fell right into place. About the first 10 months are spent in the Old Testament, then the last 2 months in the new. I agree so much on the gravity of the Old Testament feeding the New Testament, and continue to thirst for His Living Word. Thank you.

I'm 68 my grandma out of Poland was Jewish. My mother was raised Catholic but once we were led back to Yeshua through a Gentile pastor who taught us to love and care for the Israelites. I guess I've been blessed to not be taught any other way. Salvation is of the Jews. A gift shared by the Lord through a vision to Peter. Without the Jews we would still be in our sin.

I've been a follower of the Lord since 1970. Working in isolation I learned that God is the Creator and determined the meaning of the Image of God. No one in the evangelical movement ever talked about this stuff. The only time they mentioned the O.T. was to claim it was a dispensation. I came to see the O.T. and N.T. as a whole unit through my study and it is wonderful to hear these guys expand on the things I learned on my own.

One thing that trips up our Jewish brethren is, The Father does NOT accept human sacrifice.
Most believers do not realize that Jesus was not a sacrifice as an animal would be. He was not literally a lamb, he wasn't slaughtered on the altar, etc.
Life is in the blood, right? His pure blood, sinless life, atoning for us is this... Messiah laying down/giving up his perfectly obedient life was the sacrifice.
He was perfect in every way, which qualified him to be resurrected, return to heaven, and be our High Priest. Being our High Priest is how he makes atonement for us in the Heavenly Tabernacle. Many believers have denied Jesus, because they don't know this.
The anti-missionaries use this lack of knowledge to get the minds of believers twisted, and they end up denying our Jewish Messiah.
Praying for eyes to see, ears to hear, and hearts to receive.
    Shema Isra'el!

Wrong my friend. God has accepted many human sacrifices. Have you heard of the faith of Jephthae (Hebrews 11:32), who sacrificed his own daughter after he made a vow to God that he would sacrifice the first thing to come out of his house after God gave him victory over the Ammonites? (Read Judges 11). This is a warning from God to not make promises (vows) to God. Even Jesus said 'swear not', that is, do not make promises. Jephthah sacrificed her by faith, because he would not go back on his vow. All the blood of the prophets shed on earth are human sacrifices acceptable to God, and their blood cries out to God even now. (Luke 11:50. Rev 6:9-10). Jesus is the sacrifice for the sin of the world. These other humans were sacrificed for their testimony, and it is acceptable to God. Rev 14:13 says, 'And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.' It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the Living God..

      @donnaporter4962 Před rokem

@@BuckMckawtheotherone ... I''m not so sure about Jephthah's daughter's "sacrifice" actually being a death. Probably, more like a giving up of her being able to have a man and/or bare children.
Why else would she ask that she and her friends be allowed to cry for her virginity (not her death) for two months. The request is granted, and she and her friends do in fact cry for her virginity (not her death) for two months. When the vow is fulfilled, we are told she never knew a man (a strange thing to say after recording the
      death of a virgin).
As for the prophets, they sacrificed their lives for the service of the Father and Israel, then they were murdered, just like Jesus.
I stand by what I shared in my original comment. ☺

@@donnaporter4962 The human heart is deceptive above all things. (Jeremiah 17:9) Humans seem to want to sugar coat the word of God, to water it down, to make God humanistic, to make his word politically acceptable for the moment in time. When Jesus described to his apostles that he would be turned over to the Romans, beaten and tortured and executed by the Romans, what did Peter say? ‘Then Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee.’ (Matt 16:22) Peter corrected Jesus Christ himself, that he should not even think like that. What did our Master say to Peter? ‘But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.’ (Matt 16:23) This is repeated in the gospel of Mark (Mk 8:32-33), so it’s very important to notice this fact of God’s will. Jesus emphasized that we ought never to swear, that means we Christians cannot make promises. ‘But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven, for it is God’s throne: Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great king. Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black. But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.’ (Matt 5:34-37) Even James tells us likewise, ‘But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation.’ (James 5:12) In the Old Testament, even Solomon knew better and he said, ‘When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for he hath no pleasure in fools: pay that which thou hast vowed. Better is it that thou shouldest not vow, than that thou shouldest vow and not pay. Suffer not thy mouth to cause thy flesh to sin; neither say thou before the angel, that it was an error: wherefore should God be angry at thy voice, and destroy the work of thine hands?’ (Eccl 5:4-6) Jephthah’s vow what explicit. He promised with an oath to God. He said, ‘Then it shall be, that whatsoever cometh forth of the doors of my house to meet me, when I return in peace from the children of Ammon, shall surely be the LORD'S, and I will offer it up for a burnt offering.’ (Judges 11:31) A burnt offering is something that was slain, then burned to ashes on an altar. After his daughter went and mourned her virginity for two months in the mountains, she returned to Jephthah. ‘And it came to pass at the end of two months, that she returned unto her father, who did with her according to his vow which he had vowed.’ (Judges 11:39). He did with her according to his vow which he had vowed. He vowed to give her to God as a burnt sacrifice. I believe he did not burn her alive. I believe he put her to death quickly, then burned her body to ashes. We ought to fear God, the Judge of all flesh. Let’s not sugar coat the judgments of God. Don’t make promises. We are under grace, but not free to sin. ‘Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.’ (1 Peter 2:17) Fear God. ‘But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into Hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.’ (Luke 12:5) ‘It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.’ (Hebrews 10:31)

I fully expect my comment to end up way down at the bottom of the feed, but even so, I appreciate that this channel does not shadow ban anyone that disagrees but uses polite language! I know that what I am putting forward is not a mainstream view by any means but I am convinced of its veracity; and that is, simply stated, that there are no biblical designations between people today except for “saved by faith in Christ” and “not yet saved by faith in Christ”! At the end of Paul’s ministry and that of his coworkers in the gospel, they realized the disappointing fact that because of Israel’s widespread unbelief in their Messiah, Jesus of Nazareth, Israel was not going to receive their prophesied kingdom, and that now they never would! It was forfeited through lack of interest on their part! This is why the final letters Paul wrote are more of a comforting exhortation to those Jews that were still with Paul in spirit as they watched the reality of their kingdom slowly evaporate. Truth be told, God not only canceled the kingdom that Isaiah, Daniel and others had painted a word picture of, but he had also canceled the designation of “Jew” and “Israel” - at least as terms that meant “God’s people.” By the time the Jewish saints died off, the focus of salvation through Jesus Christ had shifted to a more universal one rather than through the nation of Israel; and in doing so, everyone born after that time was automatically considered a (pagan) Gentile unless that Gentile placed their faith in Jesus Christ and then they became a “Christian,” without any other label added!
Paul never mentions Israel receiving a special kingdom again after Acts 28:28-31 KJV. He only mentions Israel a couple of times but not in the context of a future kingdom with Israel as its centerpiece! He never quotes from the Old Testament to lend weight to his pronouncements again, although he had done so hundreds of times in his Acts ministry. I take that to indicate that God’s relationship with Israel concluded at that time and in the sense that he had been a husband to them but had subsequently divorced them and had sent his Son to offer them the opportunity for a remarriage with him, now after having given them a multitude of opportunities to accept his proposal, Israel had repeatedly answered, “No!” God could have destroyed the world he had made and every human upon it, but instead he concluded everyone as Gentiles and gave everyone at that time until his Son appears back on the earth the opportunity to access the eternal life to be found in his Son, Jesus the Christ, by faith in him and being sealed into him to be kept safe and secure until the restitution of all things and the appearing of Christ with the kingdom he has inherited from his Father - the kingdom of his dear Son (Colossians 1:13 KJV) upon the earth restored to its original state.
In short, there are those that call themselves Jews (even though the vast majority are descended from converts to Judaism from an Eastern European location and have no Semitic DNA in them) but does God see them as “Jews” or simply sinners in need of a Saviour, just like everyone else? When any human leaves a man-made legalistic religious system (cult) - like when I left the RCC - in order to receive a share of the eternal life of Jesus Christ by faith in him and through the grace of God, all the inhabitants of heaven rejoice! 😊

Hi Guys! May I first say that I admire your zeal for Scriptural Truth and the work you both put in to reach others with the Kingdom Message. Being a Jew gives you a head start because you speak Hebrew and English. I love the Father and His Son because they first loved us, and I love those who put their trust in the Father and Son and in the Kingdom Message.
As you know, we have a mutual enemy who does not want the Kingdom Message to succeed, and has put in place an alternative kingdom message that is very convincing because it also uses the Scriptures. Both Jews and Christians, being part of this alternative message, are being scooped up into the deception. Both Jewish Rabbis and Church Ministers are locked into this deception by being given Authority to lead others.
Being separate from this Authority means a person has to cast off the 'Traditions' that have been in place for over 2,000 years otherwise they are adding New Wine to Old Wineskins, Luke 5:37. We have to understand that we become a New Creation through the Spirit and the Word to bring us under the Authority of the Father and the Son. There is neither Jew (synagogue) or Greek (Church) slave or free, neither male or female. We are all one in the Messiah.
To a Jew, especially one who attends Synagogue, the idea of God having a Son especially a Christian one, 'Jesus', is blasphemy, to a Christian, especially one who attends Church, more than one God, Jesus, (though they believe in Trinity), is blasphemy.Though they claim to be friends they are enemies. The Former does not have the Son, the Latter does not have the Father. The only Unity of belief is in The Father and The Son! 1 John 2:23-24. May we all be Blessed.

I went to an Assembly of God Church, ask my Sunday school teacher if I could share bread and non-alcoholic wine on the eve of Rosh Hashanah. Now mind you this man supposed to be spirit-filled and he has a PhD. He got back with me about a week later and looked at me and said he had talked it over with the pastor, this is exactly what he said to me. ( WE DON'T WANT ANY OF THAT JEW STUFF HERE). And he said it in a real hateful manner and then got up and walked away from me. So anti-semism is alive and well in the churches. I don't go there to church anymore and I got a great pastor and a good church I'm going at for they believe in healing and the grace of the Lord. Sorry to have to share such a terrible experience. I worked as a union carpenter for almost 30 years so I'm used to people saying a whole lot of stuff. After I prayed about it the Lord showed me it wasn't a slap to me it was a slap to him. The German theology of Adolph Hitler's tamed theologians still prevail here in Northern Protestant Europe; a professor in my country recently suggested the Hebrew Bible can and should be removed from Christian scripture: removed from Christianity!
Last time this was suggested, hundreds of thousands of young German Lutherans held Europe in an iron grip and committed atrocities beyond the boundaries of the fathomable: they provided the arm to keep Auschwitz up and running till January, 1945.
So few German Christians, among them Dietrich Bonhoeffer, gave their lives to stop the insanity of Nazism; Dietrich was stripped naked, tortured and hanged in Flossenbürg concentration camp in April, 1945, but - his light, if you will, shone in an abyss of complete utter darkness.

His mighty power instantly change me from a extreme hard heart-ted atheist to being filled with the HOLY SPIRIT. He is the totality of all creation and knows all and sees all the spirits, souls, minds and bodies of every person and if one will open their heart and say yes to HIM he will prove himself to them, each one will experience a overwhelming experience of HIM to a new spiritual birth of his essence (Zoe all all powerful life, all powerful light all powerful love). Yashua meets any and everyone to the perfect need and wants from the simple to the underling teachers. Yashua spoke to the Jewish leaders the uttermost wisdom and they rejected him. Nicodemus simply believed. Also, i noticed you do not read and comment on any of the comments. Your opinions are not mentioning that this approach you are talking about is not complete or correct for me for i was not reached by a intellectual belief but i am one who is filled, baptist and clothed with power so as to be contagious to impart HIM as i have experienced HIM giving HIM to those who say yes to Yashua Jesus. All of us are not perfectly balanced in the fruit of the Holy Spirit yet so no one is to dominate anyone's faith or their ministry of Yashua but, just in simplicity speak HIS all powerful name and salvation everywhere so that his seed of salvation will fall into open minds and souls on the simplest level AS WELL as to those who are ravished will sin and it's effects. This is too intellectual, intellectualizing will not remove doubt. Spiritual blindness can not be removed by being nice intellectually. These are two polarities the old was to pave the way to awakening the consciousness of sin and death and the impossibility of the law of entropy to reverse it self. So a eternal life agreement was given to remove the impossibility of sin to remedy it self. The Law of Liberty and the Law of the SPIRIT of Life in Christ Yashua Jesus(Zoe is both physical and spiritual life, along with Love and light.).It is In The Liberty of his nature as we are partakers of and formed and sharpened to his perfection a none working of efforts of struggling against sin and death, to receiving HIM by grace through faith in His Light, Life and Love.

I am a born Catholic gentile and avoided reading my Bible for fear it would ask of me something I cannot give.
But circumstances compelled me to read it cover to cover in my 20s and I would say it is ironic that it only took me through the prophets Ezekiel and Amos to be reborn in the Holy Spirit. The great unrequited love God has for His people the Jews who consistently rejected him, and worshipped other gods, after all He had done for them, He was repaid with insults instead of love.
Jews are a stubborn lot and so are Arabs, who are descended from Cain (Gen 4:20). To complicate matters exponentially we have Satan and his legion in our midst with his deep bag of tricks whose only goal is to keep all of us at each other's throats, under his influence, to join him in hell on the last day.
Love your enemy, our Lord said. No one in history then and now ever thought of how three common words put together can bring peace and harmony upon the whole world.
That it remains a distant dream is a testament to the diabolic influence of Satan on the world. Now in my final years, I enjoin everyone to repent, believe and follow the Messiah Jesus Christ, Son of the Most High God, in unity with the Holy Spirit, that we vow to reject Satan and all his works, avoid sin, till our last breath.

Before we were able to read, our parents read Bible stories to my siblings and me. Stories about Jesus, yes, but somehow we were (or at least I was) under the impression that Jesus was the same person who appeared to Moses in an apparently-burning bush, parted the Red Sea and gave Moses “ten words” on two “tables” of stone.
Our parents gave my siblings and me Bibles of our own. Each of them was the King James translation and each of them had 66 books.
In the early 1950s, I realized that most of the other children in our neighborhood had Bibles of their own. They, too, were King James translations but included only 28 or 29 books.
Repeatedly, when I was a boy, my father urged me, “Read for yourself, study for yourself and think for yourself.”
In 1958, missionaries of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints held “discussions” with our parents. My sister, Ruth, and I sat in on the discussions. The missionaries gave each of us a copy of the Book of Mormon and urged us to read it.
When the missionaries returned a week later, I told them I had decided to adopt “the principle of prior reference” - the principle that anything purported to be special revelation should be evaluated and interpreted by earlier revelation.
Most people are content to adopt the doctrines and the definitions and the calendar to which they are accustomed. On the other hand, a person - Hebrew or non-Hebrew - who is willing to evaluate and interpret the Greek additions to the Bible by the older Hebrew portions of the Bible is likely to find some ostensibly “Christian” doctrines to be unsatisfactory. It is to those people only that I address the following suggestions.
The Christian Church (an organization) did not replace the Israelites as the object of the Lord’s supreme regard. It had “always” been true that Hebrews were not truly Israelites until or unless they had the faith of the Hebrew patriarchs. It has “always” been true that non-Hebrews could become Israelites as Ruth did - by being reborn as Israelites. Nickodemus was acquainted with the idea that non-Hebrews could be “born again” but it was an altogether new idea to him that Hebrews needed that same rebirth experience. Conversion is the miracle whereby a person’t trust is transferred from what he thought he could do to save himself from sin or its consequences to what the Lord does (has done, is doing and will yet do) to save us.
Religion is the sum of those beliefs, practices and prohibitions that pertain to a person’s concept of the highest powers of the Universe.
Christianity did not originate 2,000 years ago. It is the true continuation of the faith of
Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses and other Hebrew patriarchs and prophets. (See Romans 11.)
I don’t know when Bible translators began to designate the Hebrew Bible as “Old Testament” and the Greek additions as “New Testament” but, the way I read my Bible, the old testament is a way of relating to our creator on the basis of what we do or promise to do or on the basis of our good intentions. The new testament is a way of relating to the creator on the basis of what he has done, what he is doing now and what he has promised to do. The prototype of the new covenant (the protoevangelium) is Genesis 3:15. The prototype of the old testament is what the descendants of Israel (Jacob) said at Sinai, “All that the Lord has said we will do and be obedient.”
If the new covenant is older than the old covenant, why is the old called old and the new called new?
Because the old testament was ratified with the blood of animals at Sinai before the new covenant was ratified with the blood of the Lamb of God on Calvary.
We could argue all day about whether the concept of “hell” as held by the majority of professed Christians originated with the Greeks, with the Persions before that or maybe with other people of antiquity even before the Persions. That concept, however, cannot be derived from reading the Hebrew Bible using Hebrew definitions of the words that are translated “hell” in the King James translation.
Additional heretical ideas are available upon request.

What are some other heretical ideas, if you please.

@@PizzaDisguise The Hebrew name transliterated in the King James as Israel is pronounced in the Hebrew, according to my Strong's Concordance, yis-raw-ale’. It is based on two root words. One is sarah (saw-raw’), to prevail:--have power (as a prince). The other is ‘el (ale) short. from ‘ayil; strength; as adj. mighty; espec. the Almighty (but used also of any deity):--God (god)..... If you haven’t done so recently, please reread the story of how the name Jacob was changed to Israel. (Genesis 32:22-30) Study the story until you are satisfied that you can explain the meaning of the name, “Israel”.
Even among some modern Hebrews, at least in the United States, the pronunciation of this important name has been reduced to Iz’-ril.
When reading the King James or other modern English versions where the name is rendered as Israel, I try to remember the meaning of the name. When reading aloud, I try to convey the meaning by using three syllables instead of only two: Iz-rye-el’ or Is-rye-el’.

    @RudydeGroot Před rokem

OK, I like that latter part in the video. "If we are wrong, we're open to it. The way to do it is not to attack us personally but dealing with the text we are presenting." I understand this to mean that if someone has a better argument, then they have to agree that they are wrong. But why would you then use the word 'attacking' or 'persecution' to refer to a fair and opposing argumentation? As with all arguments, you have to set your personal feelings aside if someone comes along and tell you something that holds better arguments than your own believe system. I am very much open for that as well as I was brought up like that.
But there are some parts in the video that makes things (for me) very confusing. The first is that they want to proof that the 'anti-missionaries' are wrong. But from what I learned here on YT, 'anti-missionaries' are either Noahides or Jews who are _against preaching the gospel to Jews_ . However, these gentlemen DO want to preach the gospel of Jesus, or Yeshu'a as they call him. And at the same time, they claim to be Jewish...? How can that be? Can a Jew believe in Jesus? Or are you Jewish if you believe in Jesus?
There is only ONE definition for a Jew. You are Jewish if you convert OR if your mother is Jewish. AND if you put your trust on one sole _incorporeal_ God. The G'd of Avroahoam, Yischoq and Yisro'el. So you are NOT Jewish if your father is Jewish or if you believe in Jesus as your God and saviour.
What I absolutely dislike about this video (which is even antisemitic in nature) is that they degrade Rashi to someone who opposed the views of Christians... But Rashi did not do that. He only explained (in simple words) the Hebrew and Aramaic words that could otherwise have been misinterpreted. And his knowledge was not only in language, but also with the knowledge of what _all_ the chochomim (the wise rabbi's of the past) wrote in mishnoah. He was not a 'Pharisee' in the Christian sense of the word. (As a Jew who opposes or attacks Christians.) He was a JEW with outstanding knowledge of everything written about tenach.

I affirm that the Fulfilled Testament only makes more sense when studying the Unfulfilled Testament.

I agree to better understand OT Bible had knowledge in Hebrew and familiar with Culture for doing interpretation in order have better picture to what those difficult sayings of Jesus and Acts of Apostles writings. No doubt like I watched Messianic Jew how interpret or explained those events it reflect themselves in Jewish life in particular grown up in Rabbinic tradition.
However, I have clarification regard on order to understand the OT it need read the NT Bible it objection by host brother Dr Postell of Gentile Christian. Yes, majority base on my reading from Western Commentaries on doing exegesis they prepared post setting in context and I called it “bias” for sure they were born traditional generation from Christian background. They prepare see the lens from NT than OT.
But this is not in the case of Jewish Rabbinic Tradition (either Culture/secular Jew) who are not Christ believer before they will look to what Dr Postell cited Acts 17:11 (cf. Lk 24:44-45), he is correct.
Personally, I grown up in Christian lens in my biblical NT Culture more western academic background, but the more I notice that the best way doing better hermeneutic is read Jewish background like you both present in this vlog it clear the real ancient content of the Bible in general.
So you are right majority in our Gentile Christian Churches specific those ministers (not all) not present in their Sunday School key Hebrew words for better explanation not only excuse unable school in Seminary/Bible School they think it load them more head difficulty and time. They prepare those books they traditional helpful and common for them😢.
The reason I desire learned Hebrew-Greek studied at Seminary my major course because of the challenge of Muslim of the integrity of the Bible and distort interpretatuon in Islamic perspective.
I am not sure if I correctly heard regard meaning on interpretation/simple in Hebrew reading is “pesat”? I check my Hebrew Lexicon only one best word found in Ecclesiastes קהלת In 8:1 in Hebrew text is פשר/פשת.

“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves.
There is a lot of false christians
Israel is the home of Christianity Not Rome nor other country it began in Israel
Jesus Christ is Jewish And speaks Hebrew
If you do not comprehend the Old Testament you will not understand the New Testament
