I built 100 bases which meant that there was a one percent (1%) chance that any raider would be able to pick the correct base, and it worked perfectly as planned.

One two by two with a triangle airlock costs 4845 stone to build. 100 two by twos, costs just shy of 500 thousand stone. However having 100 bases also means that there is mathematically only a one percent chance that someone raiding will pick the correct base, and that might just make it worth it.

Couple years ago I used similar tactic on smaller scale to annoy the hell out of a large zerg that managed to wall off like 10% of the map. Made dozen 2x1s and 1x1s inside their territory and they kept running around raiding them until finally they gave up. It was faster / cheaper for me to build new ones than for them to raid them.

Lmao. We walled off bandit camp and a mining outpost one time and started charging admission, until the whole server came together and offlined us. That was a fun wipe.

It would be have been 1%, but some of ur bases that have the good loot in them have floor shelves, so good raiders can check which bases to raid with a building plan.

for this to be perfect you need to mitigate the threat of someone following you to/waiting for you at your door. distribute loot. one kit in lots of the houses. walls to make sure you aren't spotted accidentally. listening for doors would be a concern too. there must surely be a way. cameras would help somewhat.
A little electronic logic system and you can have doors on a timer. Had one in our main base so people thought there was always someone online. No offlines!

Another possible tactic would be to honeycomb and add garage doors to some of the bases, but not store any extra loot; if the raiders think they are holding loot, then they waste extra boom to find upkeep and a kit in there 😂
I think my favorite part was when you hit other people 6-8 times with a rifle and they two shot you with a pistol.

Well nodes are more common in snow, they have a higher ratio of metal and sulfur. It is actually best to find stone in grassy areas

I've always wondered why more people don't spread out the loot. General consensus is to consolidate.
It's been years since I've played, but I had a big base that always got raided but had my work bench 2. A medium base to hold my farm. And two small bases where I had my main loot with no entrance behind stone.
When I logged in and my main was raided, I would upgrade the stone to sheet and let it deteriorate, after a few hours I would have my good kits again while I farmed to make a new main base.... No matter where I built clans always targeted my chonkers.
I've never played rust so I could be wrong but I think most people stay with one base for more PVP, at least for youtubers I watch. The rush comes from the possibility of actually losing what you've grinded for. If you know you won't lose anything, you won't fight as hard maybe? Good idea though.
I don't even play this game and like many will sit here for hours and watch Rust content.

“If a gun doesn’t work, use more gun”
This means there’s 1 piece you have to break out of every 10, while a normal base you only have to break 1-5 pieces for the ENTIRE BASE.. for this, 1000 pieces of material would mean 100 of them have to be broken to see through the whole base.. it’s a lot smarter than you think.
A cheater can find your real base immediately tho lol
I can farm that amount of stone in like roughly 4 hours. i may give this a try lol. most bases ive done at one time like this was 3. 7 if you want to count the ones scattered across the map.
