@@philoumars3168 What are you talking about? I don't see the parallel between finding someone's work remarkable and the blissful admiration of the religious...
In the past 2 weeks I've been hearing over than 15 top classical guitarrists playing this Primavera (and others, Otono & Invierno) and none else plays Piazzolla like Stephanie, indeed! Piazzolla requires energy, passion, some violence and a honey swetness, sometimes all together along a single phrasing, free rithym, free dynamics and so on.... Missing to hear Verano Porteno with her!!! I'm absolutely sure that Sérgio Assad is very proud, rapt and joyful on hearing (and seeing) Stephanie playing his arrangements for guitar of these 4 Piazzolla's master pieces. She hit on the nail! In fact, on the strings! :)👏👏👏👏
nowadays virtuoses play often Piazzolla on guitar , we are talking the best ones Gorbach , Thu Le , Kuyhee Park , Xuefei Yang...well ...noone gets close Stephanie !

Man she makes it look so easy... the melody alone is so complex. Her touch dynamics are on point. This is why I love classical more than electric, its more of an expression of oneself.
Definitely. People tend to overpraise guitarists like Clapton and Hendrix, to name a few of them, but classically-trained guitarists will always sound more... Emotionally musical-or musically emotional. It's hard to describe, you just have to feel it. And what is art in general without feeling?
@@sangresolida Agree. Today, after decades of playing electric guitar, I'm returning to classical (thanks to CZcams, by the way!). To me, it's like going back to the roots! As if classical guitar was the only REAL guitar.
If this looks easy, then I'm a unicorn xD Jesus it's hard to even imagine what a huge ton of practice went into this performance Edit: might be easy for her though
The amount of difficulty on this piece is crazy and you played it flawlessly. It appears your playing it with easy. And the emotion you put into the music makes it even better. Thank you for your talent Stephanie. 🤘😎🤘❣
As I said about Invierno Porteno and Otono Porteno, this Primavera Portena is awesome too. Something to cherish. Sometimes young people express it better than old people.
I love "primavera porteña". I mean, for real. Living here in the city in september-october-november (spring time here) is just beautiful. Too sad covid forces me to stay inside a damned apartment, but still.... No surprises on why Piazzolla got inspired
One of the things I appreciate most about musicians in a classical school is the ability to maintain rhythm. Nothing hurts music more than loose rhythm and absence of clarity in sound and phrasing.
THE FOUR SEASONS OF BUENOS AIRES The "Cuatro Estaciones Porteñas," also known as the "Estaciones Porteñas" or "The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires," are a set of four tango compositions written by Ástor Piazzolla (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Astor_Piazzolla,) which were originally conceived and treated as different compositions rather than one suite, although Piazzolla performed them together from time to time. The pieces were scored for his quintet of violin (viola), piano, electric guitar, double bass and bandoneón. By giving the adjective porteño, referring to those born in Buenos Aires, the Argentine capital city, Piazzolla gives an impression of the four seasons in Buenos Aires. The Seasons... Verano Porteño (Buenos Aires Summer, 1965) Invierno Porteño (Buenos Aires Winter, 1969) Primavera Porteña (Buenos Aires Spring, 1970) Otoño Porteño (Buenos Aires Autumn, 1970) In 1996-1998, the Russian composer Leonid Desyatnikov made a new arrangement of the above four pieces with more obvious link between Vivaldi and Piazzolla, by converting each of pieces into three-section pieces, and re-arranging for solo violin and string orchestra. In each piece he included several quotations from original Vivaldi's work but due to seasons being inverted between northern and southern hemispheres, thus, for example, Verano Porteño had added elements of L'inverno (Winter) of Vivaldi. (Source: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Estaciones_Porteñas) Greetings from Rosario, Argentina.
This is the best version of this song on the entire internet. Made me look for the score and compromise myself to study this piece for the next 2 years 😂 Congratulations!
Among all the young classical guitarists on CZcams, she's my favorite. Perfect technique, great feeling, rhythmical flexibility... and how beautiful she sounds!
GET THIS CD, GET THIS CD!!! When I signed up for your kickstarter I was not expecting such a gem! Felicidade is obviously my favorite but Agua E Vinho left me in pieces and in tears. Thank you Stephanie.
Técnica extraordinária. Stepahnie interpreta Piazzolla de forma preciosa. É como se a orquestra do Maestro estivesse reunida inteiramente nas 6 cordas de sua guitarra. Congratulações!

Yes! I was waiting for the Spring-time section, and it's now my favorite. Stephanie really seems to connect with the Piazzolla material, and I'm psyched that she's able to up her game so consistently. What an incredible talent! I've been binge watching her videos and, as a classical player of many years, I gotta say Ms Jones is a rare talent. I would love it if she were to record the 12 Etudes by Villa-Lobos. She has that uncommon ability to do them justice.
I praised S.J. here and there allready. She belongs to the very high class. Thx, Stephanie! But, this whole recording is very high class, too. So thx for this to those who made it possible, too!
To sit there so relaxed and play such difficult music the best it can possibly be performed it’s just a gift thank you so much. I wonder if the composer and arranger had any idea it would sound that impeccable.
To do something unique in this era with a classical guitar, amidst so many great performers on this platform is not easy. It's quite astonishing how you elevate the instrument and do justice to such an outstanding composer. The arrangement is quite clearly magnificent, too. Spotless playing, infused with so much life, I'm sure I'm not alone in feeling quite grateful to be able to listen to it. Thank you for sharing, and I'm looking forward to your CD.
