I'm not an expert, but I've seen blankets less well made win prizes at a country fair. Those colors are exquisite together and that is one beautiful blanket.

12:50 girl, I don’t know if the example you showed us here is the way you crochet 100% of the time, but if it is, that is the reason your hand cramps,every single time you finish a granny square. You can use one or more of your fingers on your working hand to stabilize the yarn that’s on your hook, so you don’t have to move your wrist around nearly as much in order to keep it there.

@Biancamakesit I learned to crochet from my grandma, so it's hard to explain. But from what I remember, Bella Coco had a video on her crochet channel about how to hold the hook and yarn ergonomically

Hi, 🤗, There, You have to admit... Through All of your ordeal with sewing this Lovely Granny Square Blanket together....Your Lovely CAT is still by your side. 👍👍👍. He or She made me laugh, when it was running all under the Blanket & then pops up & out. Your expression was sooo funny, too.
I wish I still had All my Cats with me. I Started with 10 then it went down to 8. And now it's 0. Cause, they All eventually went up to Heaven & are giving God & Jesus a lot of fun Laughs, now. So, Please, I know you dearly Love your Cat. But, it's just wanting a little attention at that moment. And you were busy at the time. "It's better to have 1 then....NONE". I DO MISS, All My Cats. I have been crocheting now for about 55 years & never was fond of the grannie square pattern even though I have crocheted it once in awhile but sweet lady your work & color palette has inspired this senior lady.😉

I'm so glad I found your channel. I've been crocheting for 40 years and all I do is granny squares, usually 1 big granny square baby blankets with a ruffle border. But, your blanket is absolutely gorgeous and looks so beautiful on your bed. Great job!

I would like to thank you for showing me a method which I didn't think of with my laptop. I was always using it as a desktop, but now I will try to incorporate it in my daily activities so it will be fun!!!

Hold your hook like a knife and let you yarn flow through your fingers on your other hand and you won't have cramps or blisters afterward. There are tutorials that show this. Happy crocheting.

I was thinking about the exact thing but hesitated whether to write or not..☺️ She is very young BUT the way she holds the hook and yarn can even cause carpal tunnel syndrome very soon. If she wants to keep crocheting with ease and fun, she needs to change the style. Then everything will be good🤗🥳
@@BiancamakesitI’ve been crocheting using the same hold as you for over fifty years and haven’t yet developed carpal tunnel syndrome. The trick with any hand work is simply to take an occasional break to let your hands rest. Your blanket is absolutely gorgeous!! 😊

I make blanket for people with their favorite color and inspired by the next generation on my own style and patterns that are very unique and a great idea for the best of all the way to make it to your own ideas and to be a positive product that is a very appealing gift to be able to make something for the purpose of the enjoyment and to be able to see what I want and to reproduce it as art and the love of the real want is what I am doing and really enjoying it is handmade and will never be reproduce is a important part of what I am doing to help people see what they can do and what is happening with their interests in being able to make something for themselves is something they have not done and they are willing to learn to make something out and thats another opportunity for a great craft fashionable and unique is the best way to show case different ideas for an opportunity unique

I’ve just seen this video now. Have you tried ergonomic hooks - something with padding - it definitely helps with hand cramping. I taught myself to hold the hook like a knife rather than a pencil in order to use them. Made a big difference. Clover Amour are my favourites. Susan Bates has ergonomic ones too, or you might be able to buy a foam thingy to slip on the hook you already have. It’s a beautiful blanket!

the blanlet is gourgous, although you moght want to start holding your yarn a little different. I used to hold my yarn the exact same way and it started hurting soo bad, dont want that to happen to you! try letting the yarn pass over the top of your finger.

Beautiful blanket, I'm going to use all my very small balls of wool, the only problem you put the squares together so fast and not close up so we can't see how you do it. You do show us how to put the boarder on.

it is in fact 13 squares tall x 10 squares wide 😊
If you pause and count you can see it’s 10x13 and remember you can crochet squares is different sizes
