The Manorah Dance is a performing arts of Southern Thailand and is listed as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage in the category of Representative Cultural Heritage of Humanity. In the past, performances were only performed by men, but nowadays there are also women.

In the past, the South East Asia was called Suvarnabhumi. Thailand is located in the heart of Suvarnabhumi. Suvarnabhumi means Golden Land. The reason is that this area is plenty of rice cultivation. When the rice is ready to harvest, it turn to golden colour, so it is the Golden Land or the land of golden rice. Thailand has the shape like axe. It is sometimes called golden axe as well. The bangkok international airport is also known as Suvarnabhumi airport. The gold also represents wealth or the abundance of natural resources. The Northern Thailand is abundance of montain and forest. The Southern Thailand is abundnce with beaches and ocean resources. The North Eastern Thailand is abundnce with cultural heritage. The central Thailand is abundnce with food, vegetables, and fruits. People who live in Thailand are happy, so they smile, so .the foreigner percieved us as the land of smile. The land is so abundace and people are happy like the city of angles. Krung Thep or bangkok in Thai language means the city of angles because it is like haven for happy people to live here
