@@js0988 Larger-scale productions can't sustain themselves by being made available for free, not without filling their videos with sponsors. You'll notice how the only shows on Smosh that take sponsorships are Reddit Stories and Smosh Mouth, while everything else is completely sponsor-free? The trade-off for that is that they need revenue from ticket sales to fund larger projects. CZcams ad revenue simply doesn't cut it there.

So for anybody still a little confused
Smosh are going to be filming a mock episode of a sitcom and each playing characters, but the twist is that you’re deciding the plot of the show *live.* It appears that the cast of the sitcom will have no idea what they are doing while they are in character until you tell them what to do! If someone in the cast at a given time breaks character learning of what you, the audience, wants them to do next, or they cannot do it without breaking character, they will switch out with the double already prepared for them. For example, if you tell Anthony to do something, but after hearing or reading it, he laughs or breaks character, or if he proceeds to try to do it but laughs or breaks character, he must switch out with Ian until you all tell something for Ian to do that makes *him* laugh or break character, and then the reverse happens, meaning this really is also kind of a game for the whole cast!
It took me a couple times of watching the vid to realize what was going on. You explained other stuff that I didn’t fully get

One little worry I had made up in my head when Anthony came back was that all the really funny, innovative ideas that happened with the Funerals and other shows would be scrapped in favour of the sketch videos. Really glad to see that since then they're just getting bigger & better each time.
I actually did legit kinda worry after the Anthony Funeral that they were just gonna start taking more things we love off the channels and making them paid live shows. So I'm glad that this idea is much more of a swerve.. I sympathized with some fans who felt like the Funerals weren't different enough from the free content to justify the price tag, whereas this seems to have a lot more interactive twists to make it a unique "Be there or be square" idea

I have come back watching this time after time the last day and I'm still dying laughing! I just caught Tommy in the background waving and I just now noticed! I cannot wait for this event and will have to get the package allowing for VOD access until the end of May. The writing, costume/set design and production in this video alone is amazing.
I had a dream the other day about recreating different ideas/pitches the cast makes out loud that become throwaway bits or acts. I thought of a channel dedicated to doing full videos recreating or showing the pitch in a short intro/commercial or episode. I can definitely say this feels like a thought Shayne had out loud on TNTL.
