I think I found a way to make a maglev megaminx. Take the maglev magnets from the cubicle, a galaxy v2 megaminx and put them in. Hope it works! Love all your content keep it going!
hey alex, i've got a really good story about this exact concept. it turns out max park did this with his mgc square-1, and it ended up in my hands somehow??? it's 2023 at the time i'm writing this, and last year for christmas, max was giving some of his cubes away. he sold that square-1 to thecubicle, and my mom bought it for me for christmas as a limited-edition version. i feel so honored to have max's cube, and i wish i didn't take his logo sticker off. i did that before i knew it was special.

Awesome dude , incredible vid , I ordered the mgc sq1 , I currently use a ylm with a molded locknut cause my old on stripped , so the upgrade is needed , although the old cube is legendary because I used it to break the sq1 AfR twice

If MGC can mass produce these without having constanct QC issues, that'd be great. These aren't their 4x4 or 5x5, there's wildly open tolerances on their Square-1 what makes it into the box.
I had a really old square 1 when I was younger. It was stickered n ALWAYS stayed unsolved because i got it second hand scrambled couldnt figure it out n got rid of it years ago. I have a qiyi square 1 for now. And too afraid to scramble it
I've had a square 1 since my teens, I've only recently been able to solve the Diamond / triangle faces. I can get it to a cube shape, and then at least two opposing sides to the right colors. I've never gotten any better than that.
That maglev conversion was a lot simpler than I expected!
The great thing is that the Cubicle now released the YJ MGC Squan maglev kit for only $2!

That catching issue in the mgc is I think very common in most of them. I've faced it too
Same - I just did a bunch more solves and it went away. It probably just naturally shaved it off through the amount of slice turns I did.

my mgc square 1 arrived yesterday, but I'm missing 1 black edge cap. I've looked everywhere where I opened the package (2 places) and I can't find it.
