I was especially searching for a complete edition of Alphonse Muchas work. I want a back catalogue to use as reference when creating art nouveau frames and pieces. His work is one of a kind and I can highly recommend this book if you can get your hands on it.

Yes, this is the only repetition from the last art book video: Joaquín Sorolla is my favorite painter. I loved this book one and a half years ago, I love it today and I probably will love it for a looong time to come.

Don't let it deter you if you can't read German. This is a one of a kind collection of motifs about the demonization of alluring women throughout time. I love this book, because it makes separate art books about John WIlliam Waterhouse, Gustave Moreau or Franz von Stuck unnecessary for me. It also features an artist I like a lot, who doesn't have her own art books available: Jeanne Mammen.
There are 330 color illustrations in here and I highly recommend it if the theme of the femme fatale is interesting to you.

I will purchase the book this year, it is multilingual in English, German and French all in one book. There are many travel posters as well and on top it features historic illustrations, often colorized from around the world. It is an incredible collection not only for artists as reference but probably also for writers.
