    You showing the part of knocking out the garbage disposal tab is money for me. First time installing a garbage disposal and it seemed easy. Afterwards my dishwasher wasn’t draining. Thanks to this video I realized you have to knock out the tab. Thank you 🙏🏻

    Do u have to elevate the hose to drain properly

      Yes. The easiest way is to drill the hole between the two cabinets at the very top, near the underside of the countertop and route the drain hose through that. That way it can never fall down which would stop it from being able to provide a siphoning action at the end of the drain cycle.

    This video doesn’t advise properly regarding the routing of the drain hose. The drain line should be elevated to the bottom of the countertop where it passes through the side of the cabinet to help provide siphon action at the end of the drain cycle so that the dishwasher can drain fully: otherwise you’ll have standing water in the bottom of the dishwasher.

    This drain hose connection is the worst possible piece of engineering. No matter what the hose pops off. Going back to Costco. Whirlpool / Kitchen Aid is garbage
