That was a manic few weeks ! Rebuilding and converting classic mini to 1275cc

Follow my journey converting and rebuilding my classic mini from a 1ltr auto to a modified 1275 manual all in time to take to wheels day 49 at newbury showground..

Nice Job - car looks and sounds great. I run a black 88 Mini with a 1310 Avonbar engine, leather interior and electric windows / central locking, the whole car is pristine and everyone wants to talk to you when parked up. You got to love these little Mini's.

Nice mini, what did you set the cam timing at....being as its a Kent cam?.....also, was the engine rebuilt or just tidied up and fitted with a different cam etc.......cheers.

Thanks for the comments. The engine was rebuilt, all new bearings, i had a set of +0.02" pistons and lightend rods. I asked 'thatch' the engine builder to just do the machining of the head and block but he got carried away and refitted the pistons and crank for me !

Also cam timing was done by ear ! I need to send to rolling road to set it properly
