I love how soft Pietro was with Wanda. He kissed her on the head, hugged her, touched her shoulders, almost like a mother. After their parents were killed, they had nothing else but each other. It would make sense why he was so protective of her
He was her beacon. He looked after Wanda and Wanda looked up to him. Things would have been so different if Pietro is still alive, and even if Vision is gone, Wanda still have her brother. After all, they always had each other anyway even before they got their powers.
they were each other's parents. they had to take care of each other since childhood. it's a pure sibling relationship

Well they own his rights now; the only reason they killed of Pietro is because Fox still had the rights to him personally, which is why he's in the X-Men movies and Wanda was in the MCU. Now that they have him, they could bring him back as a mutant if you know what I mean. It would also make sense to say that both of them have the mutant gene and that was the reason why they were able to last under the experiments whilst all other test subjects died.
He might be back for flashbacks in WandaVision I heard, I certainly hope so, especially now that Disney also has the rights to X-men

I will never forgive Marvel for killing Pietro (or never making him come to live again as it happens in the comics). Not just because Wanda have suffered enought but because I really wanted to see Aaron in the MCU as quicksilver. He and Elisabeth Olsen had such a great chemistry.
Still think Quicksilver was so freaking wasted, they could have done so much with his character and they just killed him off after one movie. Talk about wasted potential.

Interesting note: WandaVision seems to have somewhat altered the death of the twins’ parents by having them die while watching TV together rather than during dinner as well as potentially being crushed by rubble rather than falling through a hole in the floor
Maybe Pietro's memory altered the finer details, I don't know.

@@cinnabon944 The Sokovian accent in the movie, if I'm correct, is supposedly partially based off of the Russian accent. So "forgive me", if it sounded Russian to my ears. Also, literally no one in this thread said Wanda was Russian. Don't get pretentious on me with your "Avengers knowledge". I could find only two differences between them.

This is some of the evidence that I used when I point out to my sister that the starting point of CA:CW didn't make sense.
Wanda is shown to have amazing control over her powers in this movie and for most of civil war. The only time she doesn't seem to have control is when she's under extreme emotional duress; this is showcased, not only when Pietro is killed, but when she has to kill Vision. However, her powers are never out of control when she's under physical duress; when Clint shocks her with an electric arrow, it stops her powers entirely and if she can use them, they can't overpower her. Meanwhile, when she's fighting Thanos, she is able to- not only break his weapon when he has the advantage over her- but also nearly kill him. If she's able to do all this while fighting the person responsible for the death of the only person she loved after losing her brother, there was no way Wanda should've lost control and been so imprecise.
its one thing to be under physical distress, but also another to be absoluty destroyed mentally, espically after losing ya parents, ya brother, ya mans, and ya kids as well as being responsible for lots of accidental deaths. The arrow to wanda is not a true physical distress situation. You also have to realise that the breaking point was when her brother died, but it didnt fully start after she was dusted and came back and helped defeat thanos, after that it all went downhill, she just could not bare witness and she broke down, became a villian. She was in control because at the time she was not being controlled by the scarlet witch powers, once she became the scarlet witch, she had a enormous boost that she had to learn to control

I think I read somewhere that they took some inspiration from the ultimates version of Wanda and pietro relationship, minus the incest of course, whenever they're in a scene together they're always in close proximity or touching

Joss Whedon cast Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch because he thought their powers would be cool to use in a film: "Their powers are very visually interesting. One of the problems I had on the first one was everybody basically had punchy powers. Quicksilver's got super-speed, Scarlet Witch can weave spells, and a little telekinesis, get inside your head. That's good stuff they can do, that will help keep it fresh."
I wish he was still alive in Wanda Vision now but they made the X-men Version of him play him so different versions
